God that looks like just about the most fun you could have in a car, and it's such a simple machine, such a simple concept. Combining this with an S2000 engine would be heaven

It's nice to see a raw car without all that computer shit.
@Xixu.co.67 жыл бұрын
Douglas Hamner every obd1 system I've come across either has a screw on the ecu or you use a paperclip to jump two pins together. It doesn't get any simpler than that. Obd1 has VERY basic diagnostic abilities, as in it can tell you which system is having a problem and that's it, there's nothing more a fancy scan tool can tell you. Half the time they wouldn't even detect a problem. They ran primarily off of the maf, tps, and crank angle sensors. You can unplug almost everything else and it'll still run. They're extremely simple computers, nothing like the ones in modern vehicles that learn, make adjustments, and control 100 other functions. Their function was to run the engine, that's it. With all that being said, i absolutely love obd1 cars for their simplicity and unobtrusive computers. The only time you'd see a warning light is when there is a serious problem, otherwise it left you alone and kept chugging along.

So with the tires, does that make the car more fun or less fun? You can argue both ways is why I'm asking.

I was worried it'd suck some of the fun out of the car, but it's made it so much better and more enjoyable to drive. It's nuts now (once the tires warm up) lol. It's begging for 250whp though...but as it sits now it's a blast.
