Windows 10, Krita, and Tablet setup

This is always the biggest headache for windows users. All it takes is one update and BOOM everything gets set back to the way it was! Use this video as reference to make sure you never forget what settings to use if you have issues :)

Such a small problem can cause so much anger. This helped a whole lot! I stopped using Krita because of the lag issues with the pen.

Hey thanks for the great video! Thank you so much for this absolutely wonderful tutorial . As an absolute beginner (at using any sort of graphics tablet with a painting program) this just made my day :). Using an ancient XP-Pen Star 03 and Krita on an ASUS running Windows 10, naturaly with updated XP-Pen tablet driver software, had me completely confused. The pen pressure and other settings were too complex for an absolute beginner . But then I watched this video and following your instructions have made things work . Pen pressure... It's alive!

Hey there, just wanted to stop by and let you know how much that Windows 10 "pen settings" tip saved me SO MUCH FRUSTRATION. Frequently, I'd click to the left monitor (usually youtube video), then pen tap to get back to Krita / Blender, and it'd be STUCK in that awful "click and hold" mode, popping up menus and generally ruining my work. (CTRL-Z is a heckuva thing) Thanks a million for improving my quality of life with that one special tip in particular. :) I swear I'm going to jump to Linux sooner than later. XD

i still dont understand, my wacom one tablet changes the zoom of the entire krita application, i dont know how to fix it

Check your tablet hotkey assignments for the wacom tablet. Maybe something is on that's conflicting with it. Or is it the overall appearance of Krita, like larger buttons etc? If the latter is the case, that sounds like a resolution issue the wacom one is set to and you may be stuck with what wacom has set it to.

Can you connect a wacom drawing tablet to a windows 10 laptop and will it work for any drawing app? I use ibisXpaint but im not sure if it will work with it

I think it would work for most drawing programs, but I've never tried it with ibis. Wacom for sure will work with windows 10 regardless.

I don't, sorry :( I think XP Pen is one of the brands that doesn't seem to cooperate with their drivers and krita well.

@@soapm4ster370 click on the start icon and search 'pen'. Then click pen settings. Should bring up the pen and windows ink options. Just uncheck all the things checked on.

There should be some software to open that tells you what the key bindings are. Generally it will come with the drivers you need to install.

I downloaded krita on my pc but for some reason, my pressure sensitivity has never worked.

If you hit the start icon and search 'pen' it should bring up the pen settings. I dont know if this a change from a recent update or not. Pen and touch still shows up for me in my control panel.

Hmm. I may have to update this, it sounds like Windows have updated the location / process to find a lot of these settings. I don't see it now either.
