Fun fact from a newbie KZbinr: Windows 10X was cancelled and replaced by Windows 11. Its successor, Windows 12, is estimated to be released to the public in the second half of 2024.

Win10X can't run neither win32 nor UWP applications by default. Instead, it has some type of "Containers" that emulate winAPI. So performance is sht. Don't recommend. But the version is still somewhat usable on tablet pc's, laptops, etc. The deep-in integration with Microsoft services just kills it. I mean you don't even have an option to create an offline account lol.

I just realized how similar Windows 10X is to Steel OS 2.3 - Despite Steel OS 2.3 having a dock and programs aligned to the left, it too, cannot maximize or restore programs (as in, restore down), but has the capabilities to minimize programs, most of which are full screen. However, unlike Windows 10X, Steel OS 2.3 has some programs that are not full screen, specifically Clock, Calculator, and Clicker Game, but that is because they don't need a full window.
