I have been intrigued by os and Windows versions for many years, ever since the DOS and Windows 3.1 days and have loved the new and different features over the years. I'm afraid however my little knowledge of AI has sort of unsettled me. The situation will sort itself out of course in time, but my cautious mindset has me waiting on the fence for a while. I have a current Windiws 11 laptop, but will have to see what happens before considering a new purchase. I must admit I never felt this way thirty years ago, and don't know if i am being cautious or simply over reactive. Loved your video though. Very thorough. Thank you.

I support a number of NGO's and their use of Windows. It's still very early days for Ai features and I'm not recommending that they upgrade Hardware at this point for it. None of my clients have actually opted or wanted to implement paid Ai features in Microsoft 365. I think that like a lot of things with Windows this will be a slow adoption over many years. There are certainly features that my clients could use in Ai and I'm doing my best to train them in better search techniques using Ai. one thing you did not mention in your video is if this is a reinstall of the operating system from the ground uphas anyone like yourself found problems in the install process and how long did that process take? Is this an hour process? Or is this a couple of hours to do this on a normal sort of small business Internet connection? I do think that the fuzzy search capabilities of this new update might be very useful as just last week. I had a client who was struggling to find a type of photograph amongst the thousands on his machine. He had taken it some years before and no longer knew how long that was ago. Being able to find all the photos that had his image in it would've been very useful.

@@AlBergstein Sounds like good advice. Probably I should have worded the question differently. Would you buy Copilot+ PC hardware when it's time to upgrade? About the install process, I don't know. Haven't upgraded yet. I agree that improvements to search could be very useful, especially for corporate users.

Funny thing, been pestered by MS to update to Windows 11 for the last 6 months, finally decided to do it yesterday and it's 24H2 version. I'm not signed up to any of the early updates etc, this was my default install package.

Hotpatching might be nice, but it's always good to regularly reboot your servers to clear out any memory leaks etc. We reboot all RDP servers nightly and they are so much more stable.
