No, you wouldn't see higher FPS because most games are bottlenecked by their poor use of multiple threads and outdated APIs like DX11. No way using an outdated OS too would increase FPS in that scenario.

Oh windows vista... Man, I had a computer like that in my childhood. Ran like shit but at least it had a disc drive. The best game I remembered playing on it was a lego game from around 2008. I think it ran like shit. But the best games I could play on it were 2d classics, games like Tetris. There was also a marvel game but I forgot what it's called. It was fairly popular at the time and included all of my favorite characters. I think it was a 3d game though that required flash. It was also playable online. God, those games were the best
