I just have to say that Finland has a market for this kind of music outside of Eurovision as well, this is totally not a UMK gimmick…his point is to not take himself too seriously but I think it’s still well produced. I love these reactions because we get honest opinions! I don't want to see forced positivity, if one is not really feeling it. So thank you William, although I beg to differ! At first I was really not sure how to feel about this, maybe a bit disappointed. I really like eurodance, so I was looking forward to this the most, but on the first listen it felt a bit bland. But there was something I felt that needs to be heard again. So, after giving it a few listens and finally hearing it without the video to distract me, it did its magic! I have been listening to it on repeat several times today and dancing and vibing to it, which I cannot really say about the other songs. I know it will be seen as a joke entry if we send this to ESC, but I cannot decide whether that is the way I see it or not! It is clearly meant to be funny, yes, but to be honest, I have to admit that I am also unironically enjoying the good vibes and energy and "it's not so serious"-attitude.

I knew before hand that wiwi would trash this,but I didn't expect William to be that hard, or take it that hard (takes umk's level down, what?) 😂 I am glad though that Deban found value in it. The vocals are great ( i hope Henri can deliver them live) and there are so many points to pick from the video, retro things that are really clever. Yes u can still make songs influenced by the time even before mobiles were invented. Go figure. Finland sending a jury pleaser? As if..😊 Yes, u can send fun and catchy songs to umk and to esc. There are so many mid 90's inspired Euro-dance tracks this year right across the selection of songs that are all gunning for a place in the Eurovision line up, and I'm here for it! This is the kind of music that was dominating MTV playslists and the charts right across Europe when I was growing up as a young teen in the mid 90's. The cheesier Euro-dance never really made it across to us in bulk in the UK...it remained in the Eastern European part of the continent and was being churned out at large by Germany, Russia, Belgium, Holland and Italy. I suppose to appreciate this genre of dance music, one would likely have grown up in an around Europe at a time when music like this was dominating to understand the concept and the nostalgia. 'No Rules' is typically styled around euro-dance bands like Egma & E-Rotic, in a similar style to "A Name" by DJ Kharma, "Where is love" by Open, or "Passion of my life" by E.go. But "No Rules" is built around that concept then taken further in a tongue in cheek direction that amps up the cheese, focusing on the things that made some of the Euro-dance acts really cringe. But Windows Man is trying to make it cool, like Käärija did with his tongue is cheek dance that accompanied his magically chaotic "cha cha cha". For me however, this doesn't work. It's TOO tongue in cheek and it goes in to gimmick territory that it becomes Euro-trash. For me there are far better songs in other national selections that are based around the same nostalgic 90's Euro-dance sounds. Acts like Keiino's 'Damdiggida', Mathilde's "Woman Show", Cecilia's 'FoMo', and perhaps the leaked song which is potentially Austria's entry, "We Will Rave" by Kaleen. Shame really because I really wanted to like this.

Look, i think it’s a fun Scooter/2Unlimited throwback but I hope it won’t win. UMK has many quality acts and Finland should show some variety instead of sending outrageous party anthem two years in a row.
