So worth the wait from the last vid. I like the fact your gear is equal to the task and not having to worry about a jacket that is too fragile etc. Thanks for taking us along.

I was stationed on Adak in 84. We walked from the Marine Barracks on Bering Hill to a cabin in Slaughter Alley for a Caribou hunt. Only military sleeping bags and rain gear. I guess I saved a shit ton of money with that trip. Beautiful trip. The pod of Orcas in Exhibition Bay on the second day of the trip out as an alarm clock was one of my best memories ever.

Donnie, you’re the man! I hope to be doing similar adventures to yours in the near future. Please keep up the content, it’s incredibly beneficial and it could save lives, especially hearing the chores required to stay alive in AK!

Spent 40 days solo in the Alaskan range this season. I know what you mean by everything is a chore. Sucks when the freeze dry runs through you in the middle of the night and it’s storming out. Pitch black, pants around your ankles and the dog starts going off and growling….. ahh good times. I’m ready to go back already lol. 🇺🇸💪🏹🐏

Its taken me a minute to realise why Donnie is so easy to listen to. But I realised there are no fillers. no um’s, a’s, stuttering etc. its not choreographed, but so fluent. Where im from its rare. Just acknowledging and appreciating. Anyway, back to it

Good sleep in the backcountry is extremely underrated. Poor sleep will do you in. Anything that helps is worth the weight.

Give Duckworth a try. Some great wool layers. Even better story behind the brand. You won’t regret it!

I've been having their adds pop up on the Instagram. Wasn't sure if it was a good company or not because of all the crap on Instagram that gets advertised. What makes their clothing good? High quality? Durability? Functionality? I'm tired of wasting my money on outdoor clothes that always let me down. I live in Alaska and work outside so good gear is important to me.

@ a wool product that is made in the USA. Wool comes from a family ranch in Montana, and doesn’t the country. I have the wool cloud jacket, and powder hoodie. I wear the powder hoody 6 days a week since I got it. I love it. Warm, versatile, durable. I also have some base layers and socks that are top notch wool. It’s great stuff, you won’t be disappointed.

Those Tetra hearing protection start at $750. That's a no go for the average blue collar hunter. Seems like this is a hunt with gucci gear that most folks cant afford.

You are correct in a way but you have to realize this guy makes a living by hunting all over the world in places where top tier gear could save your life if one were up for the endeavor

Are you Americans for real... How the hell did you get so indoctrinated by a guy who has an IQ of around 60 and only thinks about himself... You call yourselves patriots while your "leaders" slander veterans who have been wounded and killed in combat . Like Donnie a lot and think he makes hunting interesting and something other than just shooting an animal... So really hate that politics creeps into the comments all the time. This is about hunting / gear, not doomsday masturbation 🤪 What do you see in this fascist really... The whole world laughed for four years at the old man and the spectacle that was during Trump's period and now four years later the madman will once again rule "the world biggest democracy" The old man doesn't think about the low/middle income earner, the small business owner, single mothers, the factory worker, science and the hunter... No Trump only thinks about himself and he would sell his own children if faced with that choice! I quote John Kelly (former US Secretary of Homeland Security under Trump) ”Donald Trump meets the definition of a fascist. He said many times to me and others… I need the same generals that Hitler had” - So wake the hell up and stop behaving like lobotomized puppets… Europe / the world needs a sober USA... If not, we will have to live with war and fear for a long time to come 💣 So get your head out of your ass and realize that Trump is a coward and a Putin lover and Putin will control Trump and USA with his little finger! As dangerous as sticking your dick into a boiling pot don't you think! Cheers from 🇸🇪

I’m surprised to hear you say plastic Heely Hansen clothing over wool … what’s your reasoning on that?
