Do you have any tips on pilot lights for Southbend s series range, my pilot lights don't stay on anymore, thanks.

Jesus - Over time the pilots and/or pilot tubes tend to get clogged with debris. Or if you wash the range with water, often this can infiltrate the pilot and cause it not to work. With any luck, the clog is just in the pilot head. Try taking a small paper clip or safety pin and poking through the holes in the pilot head. If this does not work, it may be time to replace your pilots. They should run you about $30 each. Hope this helps! patrick lourcey Thanks! I try to keep the videos simple and easy to understand. I don't have a lot of videos up for flat tops yet. Its definitely on my to do list tho. I do have quite a few on ovens. As far as literature goes, partstown.com has a TON of parts/operation/service manuals available for several models of equipment. Thanks for watching and let me know if there's anything specific you want to see!

The problem you are describing could be so many things. I would start first by checking airflow. Close all panels and light as normal. See if you can watch the pilot flame for 15 mins. If the flame is wavy or lifting or really orange, you may have an airflow issue. It should be nice & blue & steady. If it is, your thermocouple may need to be replaced. And if that doesn't solve, then chances are its going to be the safety valve. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
