Right set up next shot know what they do before they do it but also set up your sensitivity and eye training to where if they do react to it you are one step ahead THERE too which is kinda the point right?

When we do the two handed version in the form we call it FUN SAO. It is however two FAK SAO hits. FUNG HAO would be the single handed one in the CHUM KIU. 🙏☺️

2:45 remember to collect both hands. If you intercept the inside who’s to say he doesn’t use a 1-2. Just saying. That’s why we take out both limbs or hit with a deflection. A BUI DA would be an example. 💯💥☺️

I have a humble suggestion, Adam; Rather than highlight your arm and hand speed, when you're performing those arm exchanges with the big guy---could you please slow it down so we can break it down a little easier. I mean, I know the Art of Wing Chun enough to figure out what you're doing, but if you would just demonstrate the technique in a slower speed, we could pick up on it quicker. Okay? Thanx man.

The big problem with his techniques is that the aggressor is big but puts his full strength into the attacks, but this has a purpose, if he does that his techniques become ineffective.

I am learning some shaolin slow form. And there is a movement where the forearms are stacked on eachother as you change your direction. came here to see some wing chun applications on the second form because I remember seeing that same movement. p.s. dang you're fast.. =]

Other than striking the throat that chop looks like a weak arm movement hinging from elbow. May be I’m missing something? How to you get body behind that when hitting lower target. you have skill. Just saying in comparison to other wing chun strikes this one looks weak. The throat being the exception. Appreciate your thoughts?
@gabrielrae7647

Just move your entire body by stepping slightly forward or dropping your bodyweight slightly. You can do this by stepping or just dropping your torso

Your focus is blocking the high line, therefore shots that unexpectedly hit low, hurt more. Adam had a video that showed this. He had the guy flex his abs for low body shots, it didn't hurt. The moment he smack the guys for head, then hit his abs again instantly right after, the guy was in pain. Now even if you say some people can take it, if your opponent reacts even slightly to a low shot, it can open up the the head for a strike. This demonstration that Adam did is just a fancy way of saying, don't be stubborn and hit openings or fake your opponent to create openings.

Doesn't have to be a hard shot if you use this to cover and distract from a harder follow up punch

Maybe it's not just about throwing body mass at your target. There's other means of generating power such as relaxation and elbow power.

How to hurt the other without you yourself getting hurt. Because my friend the kickbox teacher looks at youtube channels at matches win chun kung fu anny kung fu he says kung fu can not hurt. So I showed him it can if the kung fu guy practice a little bit. With my forw arm bone I hit his forearm bone a little bit just a little bit to prove a point. Its the same as the famous low kick wich can hurt if a practioner hits you with this well trained bone. Well my fore arm bone is not well trained but if I hit another at his bone wich is less well trained than this other will heve forearm bones problems for some days. If we box we use our fist. The bokser has very fast fist and dangerous fist. The kicker has very fast kicks and maybe also dangerous kicks the wrestler the judo man etc...the kung fu prationer can have and should have some dangerous things wich ones? Probaly his front arm bones are dangerous. In win chun chi sou may be you not realy hurt the other in kung fu sparring maybe you not hurt the other but hurthing others is very very easy because the way its happening is in ways wich are not known. These vids makes is good for my relaxation.Plus I can see how easy it is to hurt the other just a little bit this with the energy to hot a muskieto. So many thanks Sifu.

Why do u suppose we never see traditional type movement (like Chinese style or silat) in mma other than a little karate or muay Thai. I so badly want the more aesthetic styles to be applied because in my mind It is natural for me to move like ninja scroll anime type movements...haha. Me and my brother when we r serious move like that. I feel it is conducive towards better coordination in throwing variety, more precise..( the punches r straight or curved punches thrown in a parabola or oval or straight circles) or metaphysically aerodynamic...(some people know what I mean). R movement aesthetics a sign of higher Kinesthetics IQ?...just pondering out loud.

Good question. I personally think it has something to do with rules and risk. Fighting you do anything. Sports do limit creativity. The difference between fighting barefoot and fighting with shoes/boots on.

The gloves are harder for trapping, the rythm is also different when you are sparring, you are focusing on improving techniques and surviving the rounds. You can't just go and intercept the first punch like usual traditional martial arts. You have to analyze it first when you are doing competitive especially if you know your rival is probably the same level/higher level than you. You can try kickboxing and spar with them if you want, you'll understand why eventually.

@@taroultraman1 Well said. Basic hand grappling is so important for traditional martial arts.

Most Chinese styles are about preserving the traditional elements alongside the art and are not catered to being effective in ring fighting. Some can have effective aspects. Silat has many variations among systems.......some watered down, some sport fighting with tae kwon do like kicks that have also been diluted and some have more of the tradition and stances and rituals and some are more self defense based practical styles which are even more heavily focused on effectiveness in a street or weapons element rather than a well rounded mma practitioner with ring rules.

I've done both, combat sports and traditional fighting, and they are totally different. In combat sports you're not wearing street clothes, and you have gloves, so it's a different type of fighting, where in traditional styles, you train free fighting wearing clothes like Japanese Gis, or tshirt and pants in Chinese styles, and you're often not wearing gloves so you can practice grabbing the clothes and doing traps that you cannot do with gloves. My personal opinion is that you need to both ways. Combat sports method so you can wear protection and gloves and go all out without holding back, and traditional method so you can practice with no protection on clothes that people wear on the outside. You're really missing out if you do just one. Neither method is better than the other.
If you DON’T WANT TO GET HIT, you WILL GET HIT
