Adam I really appreciate this video. As a Wing Chun Sifu, I have to say that Battle Punches are definitely one of the least discussed/demonstrated aspects of Wing Chun. Wonderful video as USUAL 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Keep up the great content.

Hung gar Kung Fu uses the horse stances alot this means they have alot of stability and can use powerful strikes

Hello, Sifu Adam. Perhaps you can discuss the idea of "stopping the fulcrum" in more detail in a future video? I'm interested in stopping the hip/shoulder part of it.

Wow, very insightfull on attacking in the low range using horse stance. My Wing Chun game was always focused on high range, need to broaden my scope obviously .

I know that it will never happen but it would be totally epic. If we got a crossover with Adam Chun and Ryuji Shirakawa from Aikido Shinburenseijuku.

Great discussion. Its amazing how many lineages who claim to teach the pole have no knowledge of the battle punches when asked even as supplemental training, let alone application.

Good stuff! I always liked the moving low horse training. It's nice to see different variations for application. In my training we typically add a kick to the exercise and our application of the technique is long range "lunge punches" that are utilized to close the distance after kicking, stepping, or evading. Very interesting to see the low line options. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the incredibly insightful content on this Sifu and Chris! In Jun Fan Gung Fu we have the ping chuie gua chuie series where we start with a low line punch, but your video put an entirely new perspective on this for me. Thank you!

How does this insight gel with the idea that Wing Chun didn't come from Shaolin? In previous videos Adam Chan says Wing Chun and it's roots in Southern Shaolin is most likely a myth yet here he's doing the horse stance and pretty clearly Southern Shaolin.

I love your videos, and I'll be going Full Immersion after the holidays, but I often think "Poor Chris" every time you call him in. I hope you're buying him lunch after using him as a Mook jong.
