I have watched so many tutorials on winged eyeliner for hooded eyes, but this is the most helpful. My eyes are much like yours and the tips other people with hooded eyes offered, just weren't working for me. Thank you.

Thank you sooooooo much. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only weirdo on earth to have this kind of low crease issue. And I'm a rockabilly fan, so... you get the problem. :)

I too was starting to give up on creating a wing liner. This was a very creative way to override the normal technique of winging up at the lower waterline lid. That does not work for these kind of eyelids. At all. Thx tons! Post one with lashes on top of your winged technique! :)

omg... I couldnt figure out for the life of me WHY I could never get the winged eye liner done right... now I know it's my eyelids not just me haha and I finally got it right...Thanks Christine!

Thank you so much for this! I have my grandmothers hooded eyes with folds of eyelid. I love how tutorials always recommend never taunting the skin, it's like I have to I have loose eyelid skin😂 I never realized what my problem was when I was younger it was so difficult applying eyeliner. I'd have to apply it very softly and delicately lol

I just tried your method and with practice I really think I can get this too work! I bought some e.l.f. cream eyeliner months ago and just now got it out after being discouraged countless times. The brush it came with isn't very good but I have others; I am going to keep practicing! I am so absolutely positively happy right now. Thank you again so much!

Thank you for this tutorial! My lids are just like yours. I have searched and searched for tuts that show hooded and "wrinkled" i guess you could say. I did find a few women past their 40's rocking the wing but it was so subtle. I don't want subtle. So again thumbs up for creating this video.

THANK YOU!! I was in a car accident several years ago where the right side of my face smashed through the windshield, well, I had to get stitches all around the upper and lower outer corners of my right eye. I have extremely hooded eyes, but never had to deal with folding in the corner until after the accident. My eyes are now slightly two different shapes - both hooded, but the right one has the crease and I could NEVER figure out how to wing my eyes!! Every tutorial I have watched they always, always, always wing the eye! I would get SO frustrated and saddened and would just give up. YOU have made me SO happy - I have tried many of my own techniques, but that darn fold just never wants to behave!! I am going to try this right now!! THANK YOU!! And thank you for catering to us 'hooded eyes'!!

I am a new subbie! I have been trying to do a winged liner on myself for over a year with constant frustration! All the videos I have seen beforehand have just shown slightly hooded eyes, not with a fold that hangs low like our eyes. I am so glad that I found your video! Your tutorial is so helpful! I am going to try your method out right now! Thank you so much for sharing your tutorial! Blessings!

I have been looking everywhere for an informative and straightforward tutorial on how to do a winged eyeliner on eyes with low creases - and here you are! Sure, I've found a few here and there but no one explains the jagged connected line that my weird creases need to get that smooth line when looking straight on :D And your lovely Irish accent is just sweet icing on the creased cake. Keep up the good work! /Linn Andersen (Sweden)

Thank you this video really helped. I've just recently realised that my failure at applying eyeliner hadn't to do with my lack of skill but that the usual way just doesn't work for my eyes. I watched a lot of 'eyeliner for hooded eyes' videos but all of them had very different eyes from mine in that the main problem was lack of lid space (I have big eyelids) and not the folds/multiple creases at outercorner of the eye.

I literally washer my face for bed and was looking at my eyes. I turn on u tube and here you are with the same creases as me. It seems winging out below the fold is key. My eyes have changed so much that I t s literally depressed me that I can't do my normal cat eye. Ty!

Love this video! Thank you-its the only one I have found that really shows how to do winged eyeliner for our frustrating lids. I'm having problem with my liner wearing off and smudging in the actual crease after I have it in place. Do you have any recommendations for eyeliner that will stay put for this?
@christineocMUA8 жыл бұрын
+shellie2732 The Inglot gel liner is infamous for being super waterproof. Just make sure you let it dry before you look up/straight on - so keep looking down into a mirror or close. I have also heard good things about the Essence waterproof liquid liner as a cheaper liner. Let me know how you get on :-) x

Sorry, it's taken me Soo long to reply.. I have ended up finding and loving Stila brand waterproof eyeliner with a felt tip. I use this to plot and color in my wing through and over my folds then I use a black eyeshadow to set it. I also wait till everything is dry before I open my eyes fully and look straight on like you said. This along with your great application technique has allowed me to have a nice winged eyeliner look, Finally!! Thank you again!! 😆👍

Also before realising that I have multiple creases/folds I was very sad because I thought they were wrinkles so seing that there are actually other people who have the same kind of eyes as me makes me very relieved (In the past I either didn't do wings or I just made them straight so It's only the last 2 years where I've started doing wings and therefore suddenly very aware of the folds)
@christineocMUA7 жыл бұрын

Could you possibly help me? I have two 'folds' on my right eye from stitches. I am trying to do the first technique right now, but the one of the folds (the actual scar) sits on and directly follows my upper eyelid out and then I have another one from the aftermath of stitches where it was pulled taught (sp?). Basically, eye, lashes, a bit of normal lid, scar fold, crease fold, eyebrow bone. Any thoughts or ideas on how to work around this? Thank you so much for your time and I hope you have a lovely day!
@christineocMUA8 жыл бұрын
Hmm it's very hard to say without seeing your eye shape in person. I guess it depends on if the scars are raised or create an indentation as to precisely how your going to join it up. But the same principle should apply, in that if you look directly into a mirror and lightly trace out where you want the liner to sit, hopefully you can then join the dots when looking down into a mirror. I would imagine there would just be more gaps for you to join up if scars are creating extra folds. So sorry if that's too vague! It's a lot harder to understand and explain particular cases without being in person!
@BrinyGale8 жыл бұрын
ChristineMUA Thank you! No, you actually did a fantastic job of explaining it from the vague details I gave you! And... Success!!! You have my sincerest and deepest appreciation and gratitude!! I never thought I'd be able to contour my eyes like this, but you have made it possible!!! If you are ever having a bad day just remember that you helped someone (me and I'm sure many others!) feel good about themselves and that is what it is all about! I will be sure to pay it forward. Thank you!!!
