Wing on SUPboarder Pro test / Cabrinha Crosswing X2 5m 'First look'

RTFB chaps, RTFB 🤓🤓🤓👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 You’re looking for the phrase chordal shape when you’re talking about the depth and form at the front of the wing. In a year they’ll probably put “camber inducers” on the leading edge. Technology from some 34 years ago as windsurfing went all techno crazy in the late 80’s. Love to see affordable inflatable winged kit that could give me the windsurfing buzz of 40 years ago.... Keep it up it’s great to watch the sport blossom.

Camber inducers etc? I don't think so, it will all remain fairly simple. It is on a foil, and that is / and was not with windsurfing. Once out of the water with foiling you don't need much more, that is different when you get your windsurf board.

Agree with both of you here. It can be so simple BUT the brands will try and make a way of differentiating themselves. And a lot of the time that involves getting more technical with products or features. But like you say black sheep with wing foiling it can be kept so simple. We really look forward to seeing what happens over the next few years. If it gets too tekkie we may lose a bit of interest too. Thanks Reuben

What’s the little rubber cord between the two ribs? It has a little button or something you can click?

Hey Martino. That is the tube that inflates both tubes, and the button you are talking about is like what you say. You can click it shut to stop the air escaping between rib struts. Make sense? Thanks Reuben
