I'm dealing with a qtc elongation due to anti psychotics that unfortunately I need to be on I'm running out of options just got my tests back and my qtc was 564 so now I have to be taken off of this medicine again wasn't working anyways but this process has been going on for a year now withdrawal sucks when I first found out about this my qtc was 804 and I had those points in French didn't know how dangerous it was so I signed my self out of the hospital less then a day after I was put in

your qtc was really 804? i take mirtazapine its an antidepressant and my qtc is 544 !! sir, is your qtc always goes down after you quit the medicals?? im in great fear and i hope that after i quit the mirtazapine my qtc is going down.. did yours was going down after you quit taken the antipychotics?? thank you if you answer me sir

@Reeba Khan hello... i stopped taken mirtazapine bu recently iv read about HYPERVENTILATIONSSYDROME... read about it, i guess our problem is that we are to nervous at the time of ECG test, read about hyperventilationssyndrome !

Sir in K.D tripathi , Gabind rai garg and others books says Digitalis shortening of QT interval.. please check sir..I am verry confuse about that...If intracellular Ca ion increase then QT interval should be increased but K.d tripathi says QT interval decrease...

Digoxin works by dual mechanism. It increases intracellular Ca2+ by blocking Na+/K+-ATPase pump which increases force of contraction . But at the same time it increases vagal activity which results in decrease in rate of contraction which is observed as decrease in QT interval in ECG at therapeutic dose. But other cardiotonics like Dobutamine increase QT interval. Even digoxin shortens QT interval still it can precipitate Torsade de pointes due to raised intracellular Ca2+ levels. Thanks for notifying. In this video, by mistake it was displayed as increase in QT interval which can not be edited once video is uploaded to youtube.

Hello.. Great video. Perhaps u can help me, since I have been taking Methadone 90mg 4 pain, my QT Prolongation is 450...theDr is concerned about putting methadone up by 10mg,so is doing 5mg a week then another week another 5 then heart trace... I do take zoloft(ondansetron) sparingly 4 nausea and frusmide a diuretic also very sparingly... I'm adopted so know nothing about in the family etc... What an I expect do u think? I'm in New Zealand... Much thanks.. I only heard this news today about my heart.. So very worried... Anne-Marie in New Zealand
