Hi! I'm also from Berlin, can you recommend a good location at the Wannsee for wingfoil?
@leo-stief Жыл бұрын
Hey Konstantin, Yes definitely! Havelchausse north of Schwanenwerder for Everything West Wind. Flensburger Löwe for Everything from north west, eats to south wind. Pennerstrand for everything thats not east wind. If you want to I could integrate you to our local Foilers Network, we have a WhatsApp Group where people write where they go foiling when and so on :)

Maybe you should try to do the schlong-chopper-technique it adds speed to the foil and makes it easier to come out of the water so you won't have to pump that much. Looking forward to you testing it and report in the next video.

Can you recommend some spots in Berlin around Wannsee. Ideally for east and west wind?

Winging ist definitiv ein Much für sich, aber mein Schlong häng ich auch gerne mal in den Wind

It’s a fantastic journey learning wing foiling, try out the Droid 6m so much more power. 🤙

Sooner or later I will.. It looks more compact as well! Annoying part about the Pulse 6m is holding it high enough to net get the Tips in the Water :D

Hi. Bigger front area on foil, betterv for low end wind range. But those it behaviours well when wind picks uP? What is a good compromise for a 96kg guy with windsyrf experience for 20/16knts wind. I am thinking on a 7m wing
@CaSuper1233 жыл бұрын
And a hiper 5.5. What is for you the main difference between inflatable and rigid board?
@leo-stief3 жыл бұрын
The Rise XXL doesn't like speed. It feels like a break when going really fast, but still behaves well and stays controllable. The Curve (XLT) goes a lot faster but therefor decreases your low end range by maybe 2 kn.. I would probably go for a 6m as the bigger wings are kind of more difficult to handle and in 16 to 20 kn the 6 would be enough I guess. For the Foil I would say it depends on what you prefer: Smaller Foil = slow progress & less lowend, biggger foil = Fast progress, therefor slow on the water. The 5.5 is a good one for shure! Quite turny and feels smaller than it is but still suitably for the first steps as it completely floats with 150 l. Im on the 5.3 with 10 kg bodyweight less. I really like the Inflatable so far (specially as it fits in my car..) but I haven't tried so many other boards so my opinion on it is not really evidence based. However I don't see a difference in getting of the water to regid boards of my friends. The only downsides are that it sticks a bit to the water (no concave or anything underneath it) and it doesn't like touchdowns on the rails. Both things I don't really have any problems with. Hope this helps :)

Thank you for your help. Very useful. Last questions:) what about for my 96kgs a good wing foil (with the HIPER 5.5 inflatable board) for wind around 8/10 to 15knts? And should in this case have a 7m wing?
@leo-stief3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I appreciate it! I would go for a big one like the Rise XL. I haven't tried them all, but a bigger size will get you up on the foil easier for sure! Therefor the Big Foils are slower.. I think the easiest one to use is the RISE, if you want something a bit faster you can go for the CURVE etc.. On my 6 m I need like 12 knots to get up on the foil. a 7m will probably increase your low end and therefore decrease your high end. I would go for the 6 as its smaller and easier to handle :D

@@carbonarne675 Sehr cool Respekt!

Hi great video - i like the comment and explanation during the video - i am a beginner and would like to purchase as well GONG. I am not sure if i should buy the 6.5 or 7.5 Hipe and the Foil for beginner Rise ALu XL or the X over Alu XXL . I m 85-90 kg . Do you have any recommandation ?
@wiepkejan3 жыл бұрын
My Weight is 85 kilo and i use a 6 meter as biggest currently. My thinking is that pumping a bigger wing is hard. I love my takoon wing 6m. Is approx same price as gong. And lighter i think. I use gong allvator xlt wing as biggest wing (2100 cm2). I am totaly Stoked by winging and learning it. Have fun!
@leo-stief3 жыл бұрын
Thanks I appreciate it! I would go for the 6.5 or maybe 5.5 as the really Big Boards are only really suitable for the first steps... Maybe take some lessons on a big board and then buy a slightly smaller like the 5.5 for your self. I haven't tried the X Over Yet but when taking the Rise I would probably go for the XL. The Rise XXL is quite Slow but therefore easier to ride. Hope that helps :)

Do you regret starting with the rise xxl instead of the x-over or rise xl?
@leo-stief3 жыл бұрын
