Thanks for watching everyone. Apologies if I missed something you were keen to see. I can't use much of the acrobatic footage as the background music will cause a copyright infringement. And I had battery issues so I had to leave some juice left for the F-35 hence why I missed a few like the Harvard. Next year I'll be better organised!

Some great footage Paul of a very special event. My favourite is "Connie" - including footage of the outer right propeller beginning rotating and smoke and flames belching out of the exhaust. The propellor became a circular blur as more and more of the 18 cylinders in the radial engine began firing. Soon all four engines were running sweetly and the plane taxied to the north end of the runway readying for takeoff. Then the four engines were throttled up to near maximum power, each generating near 3,400 hp and soon the plane was accelerating swiftly down the runway and rose gently into the air. A wonderful sight for all us aircraft enthusiasts!

What a privilege to see and hear old those aircraft from the bygone era. As a former aeradio operator 1960-71, a lot of those aircraft were still operational in my days with the now defunct D.C.A. Awesome! Love those radials whistling. The F-35 is too cool. I flew a USAF KC-135A 43 years ago, but the F-117 was Top Secret then. Now look at what Lockheed has in the Lightning II. It has everything, supersonic, battle management, excellent radar, situation awareness like never before (see-thru the fuselage all around in any weather day or night) and is very stealthy. Happy to see that you folks fly it.

In the 1950s I lived near the Rockhampton QLD airport when a Canberra bomber landed so later I got on my bike to take a look. It was parked in the GA area so I was able to ride over to take a look. I had made an emergency landing with a hole in the bubble canopy about 150mm diameter. I was surprised as it had a double canopy with both with a hole. I bet it would have been awful noisy in there. My Dad flew bombers in Bomber Command so I always had an interest in all things aviation. I eventually got a PPL.
