What a great game, opponent had a very strong game as well! Just shows the power of the forest engine when it aligns. Cowbird was a great play once they pivoted, pity about the bonus cards could have been a much bigger score. As always thanks for sharing your thoughts and game play

Thanks! My opponent played a strong game for sure, we both had great set ups and the scores reflected that. Cowbird was definitely a huge play, hitting the bonus cards and got me a lot of free eggs too. It's always a shame when you miss on the bonus draws, I could definitely have reached 125-130 with better luck there. But thankfully it didn't matter in the end here!

Thanks! Definitely some tricky decisions at the start. I think it would've been easy to rush the starting hand and just go Wood Duck + 4 food, but I think it's always worth taking a step back and considering all the options, and for sure that paid off here!

Curiosity question: Can the great tit duplicate food gained by the caching birds or a forest raven/crow? 🤔

Do you mean the European Robin? If so, I would think yes it can duplicate the food gained from a Raven, provided the Raven was situated to the right of the Robin. I would say no for the food cached by a Chickadee/Nuthatch, since I interpret "food gained" as food that enters my supply, rather than food cached on bird that has never entered my supply. However, say if you had something like the Eurasian Nutcracker to the right of the Robin, and on your turn you gained a single grain which you then tucked on the Nutcracker, you could still gain a grain with the Robin, since grain is a food type you gained on that turn (it went in to your supply, then you cached it on the Nutcracker). Good question!

So long as the food isn't actually cached, then yes, any food gained -- whether from the feeder or a power -- European Robin can duplicate
