Descendants of Adam Schneck (c.1718-1794) have been gathering since 1916 (except during WWII and Covid) to celebrate their heritage, eat food, play games, and enjoy each other's company. The immigrant Adam Schneck arrived at the port of Philadelphia in 1749, and in 1757, he aquired his first tract of land at what is now Schnecksville, Pennsylvania (North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County). Adam was a Lutheran immigrant from the Palatinate and was a part of the cultural group known as the Pennsylvania Dutch. His descendants are numerous, some still live in Schnecksville today. The log house he built later in life is still standing in Schnecksville. It is owned and maintained by the Upper Lehigh Historical Society.
