"Just shut up and like it." I always get ticked off at people who say things like that or that you should "just turn your brain off" when watching a movie. Criticism is fun and healthy, and you don't know what you enjoy unless you're equally aware of what you dislike when engaging in anything. Blood and Honey is also a great example of the kind of effort filmmakers will start putting in if everyone were to start adopting that attitude and telling movie studios we have absolutely NO standards to cater to. These are the kinds of movies you get when you "just shut up and like it".

This movie feels like a microcosm of the problem with the modern box office. People seem to only be coming out for already popular IPs and staying home for anything new. We are in a world where The Nice Guys (2016) was a well regarded movie that few people saw, but WTP:BAH is getting multiple sequels. I feel like it will be a long time before there is a large budget for a movie on an original IP that isn't a book adaptation.

I feel like these movies are the modern equivalent to the Sharknado movies where the people who enjoy it are like "they made it bad on purpose! Get it! It's so bad it's good!" Like that's a foreign unheard of concept. That's not the point, that makes these movies bad. Asylum movies are bad on purpose to make a quick buck and so is this. There's a mountain of difference between stuff like this or a legitimate so bad it's good movie like anything from Neil Breen. The fact the "creatives" behind the Pooh movies are in on the joke actively hurts the movies because they are leaning into it. And that's not fun.

I saw a brilliant Merlin movie by Asylum. The effects were probably done by drawing on the film with marker pens but it was enthusiastic and fun. It is also the only Arthurian mythos movie I have seen filmed in Wales, made by Welsh people with Welsh actors.

I’d condemn the, most likely young, audience of this movie for its bankability however I’d be a hypocrite. As a teenager, I thought Adam Sandler was funny and my purchases of his albums and tickets to his movies kept him relevant for longer than adults may have liked. Now in the first half of my 40s I reflect on what I found entertaining as a kid and I just shake my head.

Ironic I was a pirate tonight watching this movie the music was so obnoxiously loud I could barely hear anything. I do those reviews as well. The Holdovers came out while I was getting married. I also work to do more reviews but the honest answer is, people don't watch those reviews as much. So I have to balance what I do. If I had time to review every movie, I would.

I saw the original in the cinema and it was wretched. I felt tricked - that they would release this crap in the cinema. I've seen plenty of low-quality horror movies at the cinema over the last few years - but even the worst of those were of a standard far higher than the first of these movies. This is like going to a restaurant and them serving a plate of 5-day leftovers.

Didn’t watch the first one so don’t know anything about it. Is this like those cheap SyFy movies, Sharknado, 3 headed shark attack, mega shark v crocosaurus. They are bad, but for some reason I like watching them on a lazy Sunday in the middle of winter. Those moves entertain me when I’m in a certain mood. Or is this something different that even if I like a 3 headed shark movie, I wouldn’t like this?
