Usually most people check next day, after the draw, that happens in the evening, once the sales of tickets stop. But some games actually have instant draw/results but I have not had a chance to play, yet!

Yes, you can add Encore to Ontario 49. Here is a description of the game from OLG website: “Play ONTARIO 49 where your $1 play could win the fixed jackpot of $2 million. Each play includes one set of six numbers from 1 - 49. Match all 6 numbers to win the jackpot. You could also win secondary prizes ranging from a Free Play up to $50,000. Draws are Wednesdays and Saturdays. You can add ENCORE at checkout for an extra $1. Say yes to add another 22 ways to win! @@FUTURE-IS-U Strategy is to be consistent and play often by setting your weekly budget and stick to it. I choose quick picks all the time as I know people who won significant amounts by sticking with random computer generated numbers(quick pick). By adding Encore to each ticket, you get another chance to win but I believe your luck is better with buying several lotteries with small bets as every lottery gives you several options to win the monetary prizes. I usually buy a Super Pack which consists of mix of tickets: Lotto 649, Lotto Max, Lottario and Ontario 49 with Encore added to 649 and Max. Yes, but with a scanner the results are instant and the prize amount is shown on a device (no need to check the actual numbers)

The mobile app also shows you how much you have won on each ticket. You don't need to go to the store to use the scanner, only to cash your winning tickets

You can check the winning numbers at www.olg.ca or let a clerk scan it at the cash register via OLG terminal for instant check. Not sure if clerks are allowed to enter numbers manually since there are playing cards for every game to select numbers with graphite pencil for machine to scan for buying tickets

If I wanted to replay a ticket and the terminal scan couldn't read the barcode they can enter the ticket number I have done it before when I did not have the ticket on me.

Do hard work for hours, then come and lose by buying the lottery. The software is controlled.

Set a weekly/monthly budget and stick with it. Substitute lottery for smokes, drinks, take out, shopping or other expensive experience. Doesn’t have to be a money draining tool but rather small, budget friendly entertainment considering how expensive it is to go out nowadays, even by yourself. And if you don’t play, you don’t have a chance to win. Good luck!
