So, with 24 mana sources in the deck, at 14 cards drawn with only 2 action cards (one of which was imprinted to the mox), that will occur .011% of the time. If we take into account your mulligan decision, leaving 20 mana sources in the 54 card deck and having 0 actions in the top 8 cards, that would happen .012% of the time. In other words, you were already slightly flooded, and the top 8 cards of your deck was just Noah's Ark level extra. EDIT: I just realized that I didn't count the lotus petals as a mana source, so the actual numbers are slightly better (.094% and .071% respectfully). Still absurdly unlucky though.

For the game 2 math: someone correct me if I'm wrong but, you had 28 mana sources in the deck. 4 in hand/play at the beginning and one on bottom, 54 cards in the deck starting with the first laelia trigger. In order to hit 8 mana sources in a row the math is: 23/54 * 22/53 * 21/52 * 20/51 * 19/50 * 18/49 * 17/48 * 16/47 totaling to: a 0.04% chance of happening... (It's rarer than getting hit by a bus while crossing the street)

Getting hit by a bus would probably hurt less than those draws.
@joshdavis374311 ай бұрын
Well first off if they are 28 mana sources and 4 are out, that is 24/54, 23/53 etc. Then to do a more accurate count the 4 simian spirit guides for many of the draws would be blanks. I would imagine the two cast into the fires were blanks etc. etc.

@@joshdavis3743 If you want the more specific calc then chance of hitting 0 of Rabblemaster, warboss, initiative creatures or winota in 8 cards is 2.26% fury and eomer can be hits too but you need specific mana sources to get them out, and i don't know how to calc that

game 3 round 2 you definitely should have been making land drops, especially those two Wasteland-proof basics that were in your hand most of the game. i'm not sure you would have won, but you would have been in a much better position for if you hit something relevant off a Laelia trigger or a top-deck
@JacoDeltaco11 ай бұрын

bare minimum should have made the land drop on the turn you used the City to play rabblemaster. That way the next turn you would have had 3 mana, the same you had that turn. Yeah it was bad if you drew a four drop (so I understand why you did that) but I just think it would have been a better go.

During your intro with the big card on screen, could you lower it down some? the name and mana cost are covered up for me by the notice youtube adds about sponsored content. The bottom of the screen has the plYback bar though so I think centered on the left edge would work best. Or just leave it where it is. The card is visible the rest of the video anyway.

I'm not sure why you scooped at the end of round 2. After the life gain, you would have been at 11. Cast the Seasoned Dungeoneer, preventing the Vanguard from attacking and taking the initiative. If they have no more removal in hand and whiff on the two explore triggers (and after witnessing your insane series of draws, it could happen), they hit you for 10. You win if you top deck anything you can imprint on Chrome Mox, between Dungeoneer attack and Eomer trigger. It's over in one turn cycle either way, so keep the trophy alive! 😁😁😁

in round 2 when you flooded, you may have considered playing your lands down and saccing City of Traitors right away, you had 3 lands that next turn so you were guaranteed Winota mana, also a safer line knowing wasteland was a possibility. If they had more pressure on board I'd agree with your play making a topdeck 4 drop playable immediately, but it seemed like you automatically went for keeping City maybe without considering the option of playing your basics
