What a beautiful old quarry and also located by the sea, beautiful surroundings for old stories and folklore, the shape of the chapel is also special with a central column with old engravings of people who attended mass there at that time. Dinosaur footprints that are 145 million years old, you can't imagine the length of time, that's a lot of human lives stitched together. The moon is probably not that old if you believe history. It was another interesting walk, thank you for all the beautiful things you shared with us. ❤👍🏻❤👍🏻❤👍🏻

Cracking stuff Nic, i love the Jurassic Coast, been along there a few times fossil hunting and sight seeing...i find it quite similar to another of my favourite coasts...the Yorkshire Coast around the Whitby area, stunning dramatic coastlines, good for fossils and all manor of seaworthy and ghostly tales.

I always get a bit nervous for you when you decide to walk thru a herd of cows 😃worth it for the view though. Cool chapel conversion, must be a welcome refuge for many ramblers in bad weather...and dinosaur footprints 🤩

Great video, thank you. I was thrilled to visit St Aldhelm's chapel last year, it was mainly to check out the prehistoric earthwork that surrounds the chapel as it is said to mark the centre of Britain along the south coast. Although what remains of the earthwork wasn't very impressive, the chapel and the coast was well worth the visit from the Isle of Wight.

Hi, love this area. Fairly local, based in Dorset. Have wild camped at St Aldhelm’s Head. The chapel looks quite spooky at midnight 😊. Looking forward to watching the rest of your vids. I’m quite a fan of Dartmoor, with all the folklore & legends. Have you ever been?
