I am a midwife who lost my career secondary to the mandates. Midwifery has a critical-level staffing crisis status in NZ (to the point we pay people thousands of dollars to move here to fill the vacancies). The health sector applied for this same exemption for midwives arguing a serious risk to women and babies if more midwives left the profession. The exemption was declined. That same outcome occured for nurses and numerous other allied health professions. If the 11,000 exemptions granted were to doctors (who as a profession have a total of approx 18,500 practicing nation-wide) that would be almost 60% of doctors in NZ who felt the vaccine was too much of a risk and were ready to sacrifice their careers to avoid it. Shocking.

thank you for your service to New Zealand women and babies. Your amazing, this is really shocking.

My Daughter finished her degree and got a position at Auckland Hospital in April 2020. She'd already had to take 2 courses of several vaccinations because the records of her first course had been lost! Then she had to have 2 Pfizer jabs. With a huge Student loan and a great desire to start her career (She's wanted since a 13 year old) what were the options. I think she was reassured by the senior staff and the 'all vax are good' ideology she received during training. She's OK, but I worry every day. I'm 67, with a history of PE and Pericarditis. I never took a jab, got Covid from her in 2022 (RAT Test) and it was nothing worse than a mild cold. She will not talk about the exemption revelations. She complains about the staffing levels and lack of experienced Midwives - what an arrogant Government that will not reinstate those who had the knowledge and courage to reject an invalid mandate.
@asha68229 ай бұрын
@@zumamaya2396 Exactly. It was coercion, and went against every human and health ethic. The majority of the 250+ midwives fired were senior clinical midwives within a very small profession. Many more experienced midwives have since left due to poor conditions and pay. I often receive reports from colleagues that tertiary level units (highest level of care) are often being staffed below 40% and by very junior practitioners. This is reflected across many health disciplines. Short staffing has an 8-fold risk of patient mortality versus COVID mortality. I worry for pregnant New Zealand women and neonates. This government has a lot to answer for.

I had an exemption letter from my doctor that I presented to the district health board with no success Although my health seems to be ok at the moment my rights wore violated and this is changed me for life. our rights as individuals in our own countries are slowly being eroded away. Unfortunately for the majority of people that can't or won't see this until it affects them and it will in the future. 🙏 I hope there's change in Govt this weekend! The racially divisive, ideologically radical left are downright scary. Where they'll take this country is frightening. Like the shittiest Blue States in the US...that citizens are fleeing. Thanks to fiscal incompetence, we're already on a path of economic ruin and widespread poverty instead of prosperity and opportunity for ALL Kiwis (regardless of which boat you or your ancestors arrived on) willing and able to pull their weight. 6-7 years ago NZ was referred to as the miracle economy of the South Pacific! Not anymore! When are people going to realise that the more Govt's spend, the less citizens have to spend thanks to inflation and therefore rising costs of everything. Big spending Govts always mean poorer people! Labour kept spending and yet everything from health to education to homelessness is worse now. This Green tinged Labour Govt have even gone after our farmers... our primary industry and who feed this nation. Thinking they're 'saving the planet'...by eventually starving our own citizens? Dangerously delusional!!! It's not just the unprecedented crime we're seeing that leaves me feeling unsafe and unwelcome in my own country. It's the racial separatism, punitive political intolerance, bullying and censorial culture that has grown in the last 5 years that is deeply disturbing. Legacy media are abysmal in their blatant bias.
