The footage was made during the Love Yourself Tour so it's quite recent. RM helped him with the lyrics beacause it's all in english but Taehyung composed the song himself and also came up with the the entire mv concept. Some theories, his family calls him honey bear or baby bear. Winter bear could refer to him bc he was born in December also the analogy of sleep bc they hibernate. He’s looking up during most of the video which he does every concert (he blows a kiss) in memory of his late grandma, and some people think this is a video dedicated to her and him missing her and once finding comfort in her (since his grandparents raised him). The backwards movement might mean he wants to go back and live in the past, before she past..but finally recognizes the past can’t change so moves forward to the future? If the theories are true or somewhat true, this is a very special song. It’s beautiful either way 💜

Being BTS army and Kim taehyung is my bias... I wanted to write this down! Kim taehyung was staying with her grandparents till his 14,so he was very close to them and even mention many times in old bangtan videos abt his grandma specially.. He was soo loud when young,living himself withoout worrying abt other peoples reaction both on/off camera...He was indeed talk of town during those time for his weirdo, fans living him that way. But then he lost his grandma in 2016 ,one of his close friend suicide in 2017 ,one more friend died same year( Donno reason) and his beloved grandpa also. During these hard time(basically u can see him crying in bon voyage)Hspoke his heart many times to his bf jimin and cried .Then these boys were going through high expectancy international pressure after their achievement in 2017 And they even thought of disbanding early 2018 ....Taehyung specially have gone through alot of trauma during his career best time, that's why we see him being soo quite and stressed in 2018 And 2019 ..But I am now soo happy and kind of relieved after hearing his INNER CHILD solo song, I cried soo hard cs I could imagine V telling himself and us army that he is doing fine now. This winter bear was his tribute song to his grandma (This song came last year, in this song you can see him walking backward thinking about all those hardship but then he turned around moving on for better him). I love Kim taehyung soo much. He attracted me to BTS with his look, but I am staying here knowing his heart.

He started writing the song in February this year he had the backing track ready for a while before that though, and all the scenes he filmed when they were on tour, on the vlive with Jhope and Jimin they all talked about how tae would get up early before their schedules to film content for this. I remember when Tae was lost in Bon Voyage and he was just enjoying the scenery. Dancing around, smiling, not worrying at all. Having fun. Even the camera man was surprised, asking him if he knew that he's lost, in what kind of situation he was. And V just said yes: that he's no worried, because other members gonna get him in the end. When Jimin called him, V was talking about beautiful scenery. It seems like he can have fun even in that kind of situation.
