Brilliantly filmed, brilliant tips and a brilliant presenter (biting your lip as the motorcruiser sped past). Puts the mainstream tv channels to shame who have never given the massively popular sport/pastime/hobby of fishing the airtime it deserves.

Those are the mornings we can only dream of; dolphin swimming off the bow, and jumping in a silhouette of the sun. Flat glassy seas, and good days fishing. Ok, bigger cod next time, but all in all, a most lovely day on the water! I love the way the tulle fog crept over the hills, too. I truly love those kinds of days. (of course, a 6 pound cod would on the hook would have been a great bonus!! :) )

I just found your channel recently and I have say you are a real pro. I have been fishing for 40+ in the tropical waters around south Florida and the Bahamas and I always find it amazing to see how things are done in other biomes. John I live in the South of France, Beautiful weather, but, not a lot of Fish ! Compared to Brighton , Sussex, where I spend a lot of time and a lot of Fishing ! i was wondering.. I used to live in Marseille in the 80’s. Th Best meal that i have eaten in a restaurant , was a dish called ´Bouillabaise!’ In fact , it’s like a fish stew.. loads of different types of fish ! It was a dish that fisherman cooked on their Boats while at sea. i was wondering If you have ever heard of it, as I saw you throwing the crabs out of the Lobster Pots. Crabs is a must in Fish soup , as it adds a lot of flavour. Your never short of ingredients for a Bouillabaise! Au grand plaisir !

That under water footage with the conger would be good to show as an example of why you need to be patient and let a bite develop, I know a couple of people who strike at the first tap on the rod but fish need to have a nudge about to build confidence and take the bait, this you already know but I'll be showing a couple of people with hope of them understanding why you just need to give it a minute. @@TheFishLocker Originally I'm from Pembrokeshire which is similar to Cornwall in that it is South West facing the Atlantic but not quite so south. I've had some great fishing there over the years! I always take a travel spinning rod and reel for a jaunt whenever I fly to somewhere where there is clear water. Mediterranean often to try something different - and it is very different. 0.5 metre tides to start with. Can't wait to get out again!

When there were a lot of Doggies around St Ives, rather than waste good baits, we used to use a bit of corduroy soaked in fish oil on the hook. Then when they'd moved on, we'd still have some peelers and rag left for Bass and Turbos.

@@TheFishLocker Yes I've seen a few of your other videos. When you said you were fishing a reef in 60 feet of water I just expected it to be dark at that depth and the bottom to be rocky with lots of weed so it was something of a a surprise to see such a light, yet near barren seabed. Not many places for the little fish to hide from the bigger predator fish for sure.

A normal day's fishing for you John is like a fantastic day's fishing for anyone else, you make it look too easy!! Regardless, what an advert for fishing in Cornwall, stunning sunrise, mist covered cliffs tumbling into the ocean, dolphins, a cracking wrasse, a decent bull huss & a unicorn!! Wow, what a morning to go out, accompanied by some dolphins and nice Go-pro view from the bottom and a curious conger ho wants to play, lots of dogfish and they are also good to eat, skin theme and de-bone theme cut in small chunks and put it in some beaten egg and than in breadcrumbs and fry theme until golden brown, served whit some tartare sauce is it delicious!😊👍🏻
