Woof. Gotta hand it to you. I've watched a lot of winter camping videos to see if it's something I'd like to try, but I've found nothing yet to convince me it's worth it - for me. If I want to enjoy a hike in the winter, I drive to a trailhead I like, do the hike, and come back home in the evening. As simple as this appears to be, it's still too much for this old coot. I'd need a nice, small, off-grid 10x14 cabin to make this work for me. That being said, thanks for the video!

I just came back from my trip to a northern Ontario Provincial Campground. Similar experiences realizing how long everything takes. Just heating the kettle in -15°C weather takes forever. Having the dog also creates so much more planning as she was always covered in snow and wanted to sit on my lap. This trip I gave up on meal prep and bought freeze dried dinners. Game changer for sure. We sure do take our civilized lives for granted and this gives us a better perspective on what blessings we have every day.

It sure makes it easy when you can just roll up on them. As for winter camping all day long. No people or bugs, and you can always find plenty of remote campsites available. Win win in our book. While you may be seasoned in testing your boundaries, it's important to remember that many are not. It’s worked great for us. Allows us to maintain a very inexpensive system on the camper and spend the bigger money on items that I can use more flexibly. No need to remove snow from the camper, as far as I remember, snow insulates and will actually help keep the camper warmer.

It sure does, snow is a great insulator. The issue with mine is it melts and freezes down the sides and becomes a pain. When I’m on the road, large chunks of ice fly off and become hazards.

I know temps/conditions will vary but on 1 tank of propane, between running the fridge (battery, sure power, and propane, which propane is what I'll use) between cooking, the fridge, and the propane heat on low just at night how many days could 1-20lb tank get me with conservative use? I would love a small tongue box and dual tanks, but I don't think it'll all fit
