The answer is YES put antifreeze in the water lines or risk having them crack if there is any water remaining in them. You could also use compressed air to blow the lines ... anti-freeze will prevent damage to the lines. You should have isolation valves to prevent antifreeze from going into your tank. Also put some in all your drains and the toilet 👋

Cold Diesel suggestions: (1) Cetane boost for the fuel, (2) fresh batteries, (3) Full synthetic oils (5W-30 or oil weight suggested by oil dealer) (4) Diesel fuel additive for anti-gelling ... large blanket for the nose of the truck... (holds the heat in and it wont get as cold as ambient).... Good luck on you winter camps.... Your efforts are appreciated and We love the content....

Hi Jonathan. I live in Oregon too and when I was younger my dad had a camper like yours. He would always winterize the water lines. So, I would recommend the same. You don't want to ruin anything after the last camper. I felt so bad about how much you worked on the other camper. Btw, I love your new camper. It looks so cozy and perfect for you. 🙂

I have a 99 PS w/ 9-6 Bigfoot 1500.Been doing this for years hunting.Have 2- 6v golf cart battery,120w solar, usually pulls it back. The main heater uses most power turn on and pre heat on way to camp if you can, or run truck a bit at same time.I also run a 2000 Honda gen.for dinner 1/2 to 1 hr, then go to my wave after that.If its zero F, then I run on low at night.Antifreeze pipes, when out for a week or more you have to keep your water jugs from freezing, I put in cooler or in front of heater. 1.5 foam in all but my main window and all roof vents with rigid foam. 1'' foam under camper toons extra on bed.Big double size bag and a wobble on top, when in the real cold.If I need I have a buddy heat w/ 5 # tank for extra heat or to point under my diesel , 7.3. Gen can recharge any of my batteries, have cord right to gen to house power

As former SAR, you should ALWAYS have Shelter, Water, Fire & Food (SWiFF) with you when hiking/snowshoeing, and especially in winter. You NEVER know what can happen. The weather can turn in mere minutes and cause you to be stranded out in the mountains, or an injury can too. I have been on hundreds of resuces where people were "just out for a short hike/snowshoe" and had to be rescued. Some even helivaced out the wilds.

More chill videos from JY. Worry about you getting caught in a unforcasted blizzard. Happened to us years ago while snow shoeing in Vermont. You out Macked the Mac. Love the Japanese mayonnaise. Stay safe.

Sometimes the quirky ones are always the most heart warming and downright fun!!!❤🎉❤☃️🌲 Question. How warm is your camper? Does your heater keep it at a reasonable temp? And what do you consider a reasonable temp? The worry in winter is water lines freezing. Be safe and thanks for another great vid!

Hey Jonathan A note on TC, good that you emptied the tanks, but you can use them in this fashion…make sure you get Rv antifreeze and you should always have a gallon with you, so you could get a gallon, two gallon, five gallon jug of water, put on counter and wash dishes this way. Followed by some antifreeze…as well using bathroom, same way…I know seems like a pain but it is a way to use it…of course you would dump as soon as you can… I own a TC and lived in it for over a year…I will recommend a channel Kenny of all trades…he does winter camping in his TC but also if you are not using it I would put RV antifreeze in the lines just to be safe Take care!

Great video. If you're feeling adventurous there's some good snow already in Eastern Oregon. Tip for you: when your rv is winterized bring a couple gallon jugs of water for the toilet. You can pour water into the bowl to use. Just have to dump black tank after your trip. No other re-winterizing to do.

Bulleit Bourbon is pronounced Bull Light. I am from Shelbyville, KY. They have a distillery across the street from the entrance to Guist Creek Lake where I fish quite a bit. It is mayb 5 miles from my home. Great video! I love my bourbon. My faves, Kentucky Gentleman $8 a 5th on the low end to Knob Creek $30 a 5th on the high end. Yellowstone is another good bourbon. Early Times and Kentucky Tavern round out some of my go to’s. Everyone wants very high end bourbon like 4 Roses or the most expensive Pappy Van Winkle ($2k for a 5th), and they are a “you love it or you don’t” bourbons.

He snow covered conifers are just so delicate. It looks as if someone whipped cream and just covered the landscape in a winter wonderland. So gorgeous. I don't know that I would Fancy snow shoeing. I am a blazin' a trail kind of girl but it was worth the work to really see how pretty it was up there. I would do it for sure. You had the right idea with the Bullitt Whiskey. It looked like it hit the spot and those Whiskey glasses that had the 3D mountain scapes blown into the bottom of the glass is just soooo sick. What a perfect gift for that special person who enjoys a good Whiskey and a classic, conversation starter, whiskey glass. I have to ck out Huckleberry for sure. Quality goods for sure. I bet the BIG Mac you made was better than Mickey D"s. My mouth was salivating. Well, beautiful video Jonathan. Merry Christmas my friend. Hope it's among the most memorable and the best. See ya next time!🎅🎅🎅🌴🌊🌊🌊🏄🌊💛

Like the menu choice this week! Quick tip for the drive thru crowd, add big mac sauce to a McDouble and smash some fries in the sandwich. Or if your going to the BK, add extra tomato to the whopper and smash in some fries! For the home burger, try a smash burger - slivered onions, cook in olive oil, push to the side, throw on the burger, when flipping flip onto the pile of onions, smash it down, add cheese, if you can pan toast the buns in burger juice and put one on top. Let the onion steam up into the burger, I like to add the ketchup into the pan and mix with rest of the juice and get good and hot. Serve juicy! Oh, forgot - you should carry 3 ways to make fire, Water proof matches, lighter, small candle or waxed wood sticks and perhaps an iso butane stove/pot in the backpack. It would be interesting to see a video of simulation of getting stuck in the snow...
