I still have not been able to do that. I can use flint and steel to make fire OK but not with bow drill. I am in the pacific nortwest, Oregon. We just got 14 1/2 inches of rain in 5 days. But I will learn to do it this year.You make it look like a piece of cake. Good job fredde

Hey why dont you do another video of a swedish fast knife. Love that video. Also when you make a new bow drill video try to explain what do you look in the wood to consider it good for a bow drill

A good thing about the Beaver trees... You can harvest some of the wood another day.

I also live in Sweden, but I find that all the usual materials, birch bark, dry grass ets is beneth the snow, what other "dry materials" besides cat tails do you use in winter? (I'm not allways near a lake) I'm trying to keep it "legal" by not taking anything from living or standing trees.

@aru05001 i was with the water that day, and i find some cattail and some dead weeds, otherwise i just look for dry stuff, and do my best to get it to flame up, fredde,
