Totally snow-covered Slovenia! It's not the first time you've made the journey from Ljubljana to Jesenice! Skofija Loka and Kranj are two beautiful towns! Truly majestic! In the first stretch it seems to be in Norway and Finland! Then it seems to be in Siberia! you are catapulted into a universe of mountains, snow and cold! You can even see the almost frozen Sava! David is back home doing homework in Slovenia! And what results! Interesting how the fleet of vehicles has changed! Slovenske Zeleznice have introduced the new Stadler Kiss and Flirt with white and blue livery, much better than the old yellow and red trains that populated the Slovenian railways of the past. Excellent video... as always!

Wunderbare Winterreise auf dem heute slowenischen Teil der alten k.u.k.-Kronprinz-Rudolph-Bahn von Laibach nach Aßling bei traumhaftem Wetter. Die Fortsetzung führt durch den Karawankentunnel über Rosenbach und Arnoldstein nach Villach.

Hey, what do the L signs on the catenary poles mean? eg. 57:28

It marks the begining of isolated section break of catenary system (usually a border between two traction substation areas - which at 3kV DC have to be every 30km or so) that ends at 57:37 (with white-on-black inversed L). You can see that for short stretch You have two set of wires. I think these signals are different in other countries, we (in ex Yugoslavia) have copied quite a lot of signalling from Germany/Austria/Italy (depending on the part of the network), but I think these "L" signals are locally specific. Also, on DC these sections are easier to do then in AC as if You don't do them right on AC You can have a vehicle connecting two segments of synchronous power grid and that can lead to some sparky events.

I wonder how many degrees below zero was the temperature in that day. Snow on the wires was still frozen and didn't melt.....

@juanvidelaramos9428 The videos are very heavy, so you need a fast internet connection without oscillations, especially when you watch the video on Tv or bigger screens. Maybe try to put the resolution on HD only. I hope this helps.
