A little tip for anyone doing any form of tenting during cold conditions. If you experience cold getting into the tent from the bottom, it is a nifty little trick to just kick up some snow around the bottom of the tent for extra insulation, also works with leaves and things like that in case you don't have any snow and it's more like a cold autumn. Just a quick tip that many seem to forget.

My favorite Adventurer/camper. I will never "tease" you about your bantering with Monty again. I have watched several of these KZbinrs camping with their dogs, and they sit there feeding their own faces while they feed their dogs nothing on camera. The dog is just staring or the dog is nowhere in sight. And to add, they don't even include the dog in any playful way. You treat your dogs like royalty, and I think that is just the good nature, big heart in you. Thank you. :)) Sorry about the long comment.

Hey man I just want to tell you that from the day I found your channel which was not too long ago, I was very down and starting to get depressed. Before you bring your camera in from a very cold environment to a warm one, put it in a plastic bag outside first. When you bring it in, the condensation will form on the outside of the bag instead of on your gear. After it warms up, you're safe to remove it from the bag.

I rewatched really mesmerized when he stopped chewing to stare at his dog and make sure he wasn’t begging, like 👀 I own three cats so they don’t beg and I don’t have to train them as strictly as one would have to train a dog, but seeing the dog flinch at even the word “beg” was so cool because wow these animals really fully understand and follow whole ass guidelines for their lives based off what we teach them. You're welcome! That part takes the longest to edit. I go through every single clip and try to match the audio. Sometimes though, when I am really far away you get feedback from me amplifying the audio too much but I feel it's more important to be able to hear me so I just leave it in.

@@MatthewPosa Hi Matt, great video. Years ago for my local church I was a cameraman, editor, director, set-up man for video work and they used to use wired or shotgun microphones and had all sorts of problems. The church used to record sermons, out door activities, etc then edit it; some of it got sent to one of the state TV stations for broadcast on Sundays. One outside session we had major microphone problems that the filming was only just achieved with one microphone instead of the usual pair. The problem was cabling. The church had spent lots on replacement cables and were complaining about it. So I suggested wireless radio microphone set-ups. I added that they only needed the transmitters and receiver(s) for it to work, they could use their existing mics and short cables. When they grumbled about cost and type, etc I said rent a pair of transmitters and a receiver and try them out. They did. They switched to the wireless radio microphone TX/RX set-up pretty quick, both for outside and inside recording with 2 or 3 cameras, sometimes more with rentals. Once you get the audio levels set-up, it saves a hell of a lot of time in post editing. Save away for a wireless set-up. Yeah, I'm a fan of wireless audio.

Matthew Posa In Adobe Premiere you can select all clips and normalize the audio based on all clips. Saves a lot of work! Then you can select all and adjust volume + make a preset limiter that you put on all to limit it to like -4db :) takes about 30 seconds instead of having to go through all manually.
