Me and my nephew are making plans on camping and doing a little bushcrafting on our familys property... And i always wondered if a lofted floor with fire below would allow heat up through the floor? In my minds eye it works, but then I came across your video so I figured i might as well ask😉

Hello Eric. That sounds wonderful, I bet your nephew will have an awesome trip. Yes it does allow heat up through the floor, right now it's limited. One of my future projects is to build a snow wall underneath the shelter, on both sides to trap the heat better. You could do this with trees/stones or dirt as well. Be careful not to build the fire to close to the shelter. //Adam

I am so happy to see that you actually have food with you, not like some of your other survival videos. Also, I love that you still keep your bottle of water inside your coat to keep it warm. I learned that trick from you, my friend. Also, what a very heavy pack, I am glad you did not tip over. Thank you Sherry. Hehe yeah, I might do a non good trip early next year but there is not much to eat in the winter except for fish and animals. Yeah the bottle is a nice trick, a must in cold weather. I leave a couple of things at the camp, things I normally don't bring on my trips, like the lantern and such. My bag's weight is approximately 25-30kg On my trips, including camera equipment. The weight I talked about in the video (40-60kg) was the weight in the marine corps. So it's not that heavy 😊.
