This video is everything! So much love for this. I really like it when you are able to showcase just how versatile those pieces can be. You can tell that you've carefully thought about the pieces you were going to feature. They are also all pretty affordable as well. There are so many lovely pieces that you often share and choose to collab with, but often they are premium brands that is difficult to replicate (it's all in the details as you have said!). I bought the blazer, which I love, wide trousers that I also love, as they are useful for managing cat hair. I also bought faux leather trousers that are very comfortable, but I'm not sure about the size - should they fit tightly around the hips or be loose? Will there be more options to purchase in the future? The blazer is quite heavy, so I'm wondering if it's more appropriate as an outer layer, or if it can be worn under a coat? Would wearing low-top trainers with faux leather trousers be a suitable combination? I get the impression from previous videos that you wouldn't approve it :D

I get it for style but I really need to ask if you could consider doing a video to help those of us who live in Scotland and have to wear winter clothes for most of the year when it’s damp, cold, rain, roads are slippery and not suitable for stylish shoes, more Ugg boots and bumper boots. We only really have two seasons in Edinburgh Scotland. June and July are about it really for some summer stuff but other months need to have sensible clothes which are comfortable and practical but stylish. Jeans retain no heat whatsoever so really can’t be worn in winter. Those wide trousers need warm tights underneath but I do love warm tweed shorts with warm tights. Help

Dear Lydia! Amazing video, I really really loved all the outfits. You inspired me to get wide leg trousers so I did (I am one of those who likes to live in leggings😃) but I also want to look more elegant and not dated. My only concern is that I feel the wide leg trousers make me look lot bigger even if I pair with heels. I am petit 165cm and not super skinny and that wide leg looks just way to big, I tried different styles, tailored them nothing works😔 pls help I really want to wear them but don’t want to look ridicoulos

Hope you found some things to wear with your wide leg trousers. I'm petite also, and I figured out that cropped tops worn with high waist wide leg trousers is key for me. If I show the entire length of the trouser from waist to hem, it makes my legs look longer. Xoxo

Hi Lydia, could you do a video for us peeps on a budget please? Maybe for example two or three looks under £50? You always wear fabulous branded clothing that is obviously brilliant quality, your silks, linens, and designer brands- but unfortunately as lovely as they are, it’s not in a lot of our price ranges- so feels unobtainable in a way. (If I were to recreate your outfits and tips in my boohoo and SHEIN polyester it wouldn’t look anywhere near as good sadly!)

Have you tried to shop pre loved to allow you to buy better brands at a more affordable price. I do one day a week visiting the charity shops to look through the rails. Sometimes I buy nothing other times I buy loads. You just need to be patient and not expect to find something every time.

We call them thrift shops here in the states! I’ve found a beautiful black blazer, black leather flats, a white blazer and 2 real leather belts for under $50 US! Look at the labels and the fabric content, it takes some work but it’s worth the savings!

I totally agree, the pieces are beautiful but there are tones of these same videos for "winter" in KZbin. And don't get me started on "summer" videos. I mean, who wears sorts and a blazer in really hot summer weather? I leave in a Mediterranean country, and actually the temperature does go a lot under 15 Celsius at winter and a lot above 35 at summer. All those videos are completely useless 😅

@@CLeigh315 what weird is calling it a winter :D you could call it maybe “for going out for a coffee weather” or “dress up for any casual occasion”. the superficial part for me is that she always dresses for looking good and “put together”, but there is no real life happening in that. maybe for an influencer who does nothing but plays dress up for a camere. my real life consists going out for concerts, bars with friend, I use a bike on a daily basis, have play dates with children, have manual labour, have office work, going for parents or getaway weekends or HIKING, so real “real life” stuff. you just CAN’T dress all the time this nice and beige :D it’s not life-like. maybe if not ALL of her videos were the same, but I’m following her for quite a long time now, and I don’t see any distinguishing or variations in dressing up for real life events. 🤷🏻‍♀️ other than that, for a casual dress up day her style is stunning. that’s why I watch this channel. but calling this dressing up a winter weather is just a joke :D

I think if someone is an international or world wide famous youtuber/influencer then she just can’t afford herself to only think about the climate of where she lives. she has to think ABOVE herself (because if not it’s just selfish and that’s how the whole thing becomes superficial), and think for much more weather or occasion options!

I can understand your perspective, but I politely disagree. Currently, I am living in Alaska where the temperature very frequently drops to below -25 C. My capsule wardrobe looks very similar and has many pieces that are similar in style to the ones shown. Of course, these types of videos are guidelines, not absolutes. When I go out dog sledding or hiking in the winter, I’m adding thick outerwear. My winter jeans are all fleece lined and I wear thermals underneath other pieces that I wear year round. I have a ton of sweaters, both cashmere and chunky cotton. Of course I’m not going to wear the same winter clothes I wore when I lived in the Caribbean when I spend hours sitting outside looking at the Aurora Borealis in Alaska during the winter. If you are looking for winter layering tips, there are several Canadian KZbinrs that have videos posting that kind of content.
