Adam when I go camping in the very cold weather,I pick up the heated pads for muscle stain from pound land,Theres 2 in each box for a £1 and they last approx 8hours .Wrap one round your gas bottle half an hour before use and bobs your uncle.Once you’ve cooked with the gas you can place the bottle and heated pad with spare gas bottle wrapped in a towel and it takes them all up to operating temp.Up to now I’ve never had a problem and the temp has averaged -10 to -15 where I’ve been Mike

Hello pal! great video as usual. Now you may know this already but when I'm car camping in the c4 picasso in very cold conditions. I get one of those blue gas canisters, wrap a towel..t-shirt or anything around it and put it under the bed covers about half an hour before I get up. Honestly, works a treat, never had a problem.

Hi Adam..cool video mate..regards to the diesel heater..there is a remote you can buy thats compatible with all Bluetooth heaters and has the thermostat in the remote..set it to 20°c and that's what is trys to achieve..clever stuff..Love Scotland and all its beauty at any time of year..Chepeau mate..Happy Travels..✌️

The heater controller has to be in the vehicle as it has a thermostat inside it. also the air inlet pipe the one with a filter on the end extend it and mount it next to your window inlet so it pulls warm air from inside the car this works a treat and cuts fuel consumption in half as the heater does not have to heat up the cold outside air. 😊

Hi Adam. I have a 2001 VW T4 which had new glo plugs a year ago. She didn't like starting from cold and my mechanic suggested turning ignition on, wait for glo plug light to go off, but then count another 10 seconds before trying to start engine .... he reckons glo plugs continue to heat up ...... she's been firing up like a dream. Worth a try to see if it makes any difference to The Crib's start up. Good luck. Love watching your adventures by the way. My parents were both from Birstall, and I love your Leicester accent lol.

Some great footage with the new camera, I'm not sure I could set my diesel heater up for each trip. Although they are a must for -10. I pop the gas can in the warm kettle water to warm the can up slightly works a treat.

My van crapped itself during the cold aswell. Apparently the diesel filter can clog if it hasn't been changed as diesel thickens in the cold. Might be somewhere to look it if it hasn't been mentioned 👍

Glow plug sorted, 👍 have you considered battery,cold kills them and it may be a bit of a struggle,worth having a Halfords check on the health of battery I've had similar problems in the past, hope it helps. 😊

Loving your videos . Bit of a top priority for your diesel heater . Get your guy who gives you a hand with your vehicle. To join a t piece to your vehicles fuel line and run a rubber pipe straight to your diesel heater . Then you don’t need to top it up . 👍 John

When you buy your food how about reading the back of the pack to see if you can cook it before whinging when you finally get to it. Try turning the gas down and stirring the pan occasionally,perhaps it won't burn.

I did tell you how to avoid getting your heater stolen,you put it into your roof box, have a hole cut for the pipe, and this way you can lock the roof box.

Adam In extreme cold diesel fuel can emulsify ie get thicker You could try a fuel additive for when you do go to Cold places just an idea not expensive just pop in tank when you fill up

Check your battery, as more is more when it comes to turning over diesels....Plus check the starter motor....Had the same issue with glow plugs, changed them but when I did the battery and starter motor (especially starter motor) it now starts first time...Plus great to view the uplift in video quality & variety...

Second gear and 12:00 drive slower if you need grip drive in the fresh snow if you loose traction going up the hill zig zag the steering wheel left to rigjt it will help pull you up the hill try not to brake use the gears

My good neighbour has suggested using "engine start" spray into air filter. For diesels without 'direct injection '. I have heard him starting car more easily on very early, cold mornings. However, haven't tried it myself yet but maybe worth a try

Most diesel heaters won't cut off when they get to temperature they will only go down to number 1, it uses alot of electricity when they start up so they just keep running, so even if your thermometer was inside the car it wouldn't make any difference.

Could be alternator going out put a volt metre on car battery then see if it volts drops after starting car up
