For any new carp anglers watching loads of different people using different rigs and tactics can get very confusing indeed. Try sticking to one person’s advice for a year rather than chopping and changing and see how you do . Adam Penning is one of the best choices you could make for learning skills and techniques as a new comer or a seasoned carp angler. Brilliant as always 👍

No mate you've got to be a very clever person to catch carp all these big companies like korda etc said the carp are clever .but if you there products bait etc you can catch them 🤣🤣🤣

@@davidshaw442 totally get what your saying but I was referring to the tactics of how much bait, where to fish and simple rigs . I have caught many fish on single baits and simple rigs purely by fishing on the fish. Not all fish are caught at 120+ yards or on complicated rigs that seem so fashionable at the moment as your probably aware . So I think in this video Adam is just giving newcomers and some older anglers a different view.

The irony in your comment is that Adam Penning contradicts himself in every video he appears in so if people were to follow the advice of sticking to one thing Adam penning would be the last angler you would want to listen to. The best advice to anyone starting out would be to not get sucked into these awful videos and just go fishing, make some angling friends, and learn on the job. Adam penning is full of crap. These videos are not made for the benefit of anglers, they are only made so the channel has new content and the featured angler gets paid. Simple. Its all just a load of hot air.

I was a match angler in the 1990’s and from the age of 16, now I’m an old bugger won the silstar pole championship in 1997 on the Oxford canal with 2 x 6lb carp qualification was wylands snake where we fished for small carp. I totally agree with your fish for a bite because we used to cup 5 almost floating casters above a single red maggot hook bate and just wait for a bite and all that used that method used to frame or at least won their section. Thank you for the videos I have learned sooooo much

Love a stringer simple but effective and how simple could that rig get the basic knotless knot 90% of my rigs are this. Quick question though adam what rig would you use and what would you tie it with if braid is band?

I have a question, don't know if it changes from country to country as climates do change even though Temps can range the same, but question is can it ever be to cold to fish. Now we not talking frozen waters, but cloudy with 50km plus winds from snow mountain cold fronts. As the weather man puts it 16 degrees but feels like minus 2 degrees and that's Celsius. Thanks

God, that rod looks stiff Adam, its hardly bending at all? Its seems most rods are built for casting these days, and to look good. What about fish playing, how the industry has changed?
