In the bigger lakes look for bait fish on the west sides of the lakes first. The cold water makes the shad head for shallow water that the Sun warms up first. Crappie follow the shad. As for rod and reel. I use a Alba Garcia Max X10 light spinning reel with a Shakespeare micro series light action 5 ft 6 rod. Thank you

Yes sir I will have to share more of the trail going in different areas. I do enjoy it. it's adventurous and fun most of the time. Just be careful out there, the water and weather can get pretty cold but I hope you catch some good ones.

Thanks! I’ve seen a few lakes that I want to try during my squirrel hunting travels around the White and Cache River refuges this fall. The only problem is the water is still too low to get my boat in a lot of them. Definitely need to get my smaller boat ready and rigged for these areas.
