So many love Tropical Islands, and palm trees, and the beach, and the warm weather.. But nothing NOTHING compares to the beautiful, white-snow covered mountains, aurora borealis, and Milky Way! And plus, the cold, that cold cold wind, it truly makes you feel like you’re alive & it truly makes you feel like You are human and makes you feel like you are so small, so insignificant. But yet, someone truly did make this beautiful world & universe! Thank you God!!!!!

As peaceful and beautiful as it is, I'm too much of a wimp to come out of 4 months of night followed by sub-zero temps. We will be above 70F in Ohio this weekend which is unusual for March, and I can't wait to actually feel the sun tomorrow, wear shorts, and sit outside with a tropical drink. 🌴🍹 We'll still have cold days ahead and maybe snow yet, but just knowing there is a change coming is enough to brighten my mood. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful, unique existence. I try to imagine my 2 rescue dogs on Svalbard. They'd last about 10 seconds outside. LOL

I always am so fascinated by people living in these harsh climates and they just adapted so well to it. Meanwhile I feel like dying when it gets below 5°C and I can only tolerate hest up to about 33°C but we do have a fairly high humidity here so I can tolerate more if or when the humidity is lower. We had almost 40°C weather here in Germany these past few summers and it was not pleasant but manageable.

This was very interesting. I thought your winter period would be much more like mine in Saskatchewan. We are coming into the longer days, and slowly warming. We sometimes get a lot of snow in February and March, but this year we got snow almost every 4 to 5 days all winter. Sometimes a lot and sometimes a little. We can usually count on bright sunny days when we have the coldest temps. This weird year it has been snowing when it's minus 25C. Today we woke up to minus 19 with a wind chill of minus 29C. Honestly this winter just won't let go. I agree with you that -15C is a great day for being outside as long as there is no wind. Your vlogs have put Svalbard on my bucket list.😊
