Winter Haven Fishing Trip

every year I "gift" myself a couple trips just for me to get away just by myself. 3-4 days during mid week and some funky little cabin with a dock that all I have to do wipe the seat down and go. come back for grub, set up some cat/carp poles, and really kick back.

Love the strategy. It's hard to take a full day to scan for good fish holding areas, then break down the baits ,and how to retrieve them to get bit. I try offshore everytime I go out to gain some knowledge ,and present my baits to the cover spot accurately. I marked a Boulder last time out,and drug my jig up to it and hopped it. No bite, but first time lining up the cast and feeling the cover I was casting to offshore. Was in 23 ft casting from 10. To present my bait up hill and inline w cover.

You make me want to get back into bass fishing, the way you dissect the fish is something impressive and I didn't do enough of. I mainly fished private small water and if they weren't hitting a Texas rig or Rapala I'd shift to beer.

loved this video man! I grew up spending summers in Winter Haven as a kid and would fish the Chain every day. My grandparents lived on Lake Cannon! good times!

Man I'm like 20 min. from you in Lakeland. I was fishing there 2 weeks ago. I can show you some nice Lilly pads that love black cane toads in the AM. Boat on over to Harborside next time with the lady on lake shipp.The crab cakes are killer.

First off thx man that means a lot! In regards to the vids I really like making them (it's a selfish thing) it's fun trying to figure stuff out and capture it when it doesn't pan out. I try not too caught in what the trends are and hot to get views and that since the vids I sorta do for myself so it is what it is. If it's meant to be something more it'll happen.
