Your chickens seem to like that high tunnel to get out of the snow! My chickens definitely are not fans of snow. It looks like you are ahead of us with winter weather though - we haven’t had much snow here yet!

They are very happy in there, next year I will be able to connect their coop directly to the greenhouse and make everything easier. And hopefully you don't get much of this storm

Can't wait to see the trees get cleared out around the orchard so that you can get bigger & better quality in the yields! You're right about it really changing the look of the homestead. I can't even imagine how much brighter & spacious it'll look once cleared out. Everything, including the puppy, is looking fantastic. Thanks for the winter tour - so pretty!

I'm glad i am no longer in that cold and snow but it is really pretty when it is hanging on the trees, even though i know it can break power lines. I am now in Fl and it is going to freeze in a few days. So even here we get cold. Have a Merry Christmas.

We just had our first real snowstorm a few days ago, about 30cm/12in of very wet, heavy snow. Looks pretty but very hard on the trees! In regards to pruning your fruit trees check out @jamesprigioni if you haven’t already. I only have one apple tree, planted by the previous owners, and it was sadly neglected and I just didn’t know where to start until I watched his videos. I haven’t tried overwintering carrots yet, but I’ve seen other northern gardeners cover them with a thick layer of straw under the plastic cold frame and that seems to keep the ground from freezing solid beyond the first inch or two. It's amazing what you have accomplished so far this year - good luck with all your projects in 2023 and I look forward to seeing them take shape!

Very hard on the trees! A lot of them might not stand up again. And I am a big fan of James Prigioni! He is one of the people that I have watched for pruning. And that is a great tip, thank you! I bet some straw would help out a lot. Thank you! I appreciate you watching:)
