Thank you for presenting different corners of Russia. It's incredible that people live in such a harsh climate, but a human can adapt to any conditions

Thanks for another video! We’ve missed you guys! By the way, it’s been almost a year since you’ve moved to Taiwan. Where are you moving to next? (Also, we’d love to see more videos about your year in Taiwan.) Best wishes for a Happy New Year from the USA!

As for Taiwan, we have been filming a lot around but haven't found the time to edit all the content yet, but I promise that there is some very interesting content coming soon! Best wishes!

Oh my god. I can't just imagine the 160F drop. Here in California, USA we have +95 to +115F weather during the summer, but its ok as I'm used to these hot summers. But the coldest it gets in winter is like +29F at night. Winter 2021 has become one of the coldest on records here in Sacramento, the capitol city of California. We had about 3 days of rain and snow and highs in the 30s and 40s F and nights in the 20s F. But summer 2021 has become one of the hottest on records when we reached 119F in July. We dont get very much snow as it is very rare. Winter here can be in the 70s sometimes but usually stays in the 50s and 60s. You guys should come visit Sacramento sometime. I'd suggest visiting in mid April or early May cause thats the best time in my opinion cause the weather is in the upper 70s and low 80s around that time.

I've seen the videos of last winter in the US, seemed pretty unusual in many states! Must be a pain especially in coastal cities

Enjoyed your recap.With you wearing minimal cloths -40c are you affected when you go inside shop etc with +28c (Over Heating) ? I will travel there for -50c and looking at getting a BASK ASGARD MJ Jacket...
@thewhvnomads74152 жыл бұрын
Getting something warm what you can easily get off is always good. The good thing about this extreme cold, is that you don't usually stay inside long enough for your clothes and then your body to warm back up too much that you'd feel hot!

What do people there do for living?? Are there many tourists travel there? Love your videos x
@thewhvnomads74152 жыл бұрын
The region still lives off the revenues of the diamond mines, but most people live like any other city in Russia of the same size. You'll always find jobs in restaurants, shops, and all! Tourists aren't common, even most Russians have never been there. It's too far from everything, even the famous transsiberian line (the closest station is more than 1000km south)

Steven: 20 degrees celsius = summertime Me: 😳😳 WTF! 20 degrees here in PH and we're already freezing to death! Hahaha I've missed your uploads! I know, I know. Editing is really tough - long hours and all. Can't wait for a new episode in your Taiwan adventure.

Steven and I have never managed to get used to the heat in Taiwan, even after a year. Recently we had sudden drops to +15°c at night and it really feels like a blessing haha. Real life got a bit messy and so did editing as a result, but I promise more is to come 😁

How is the autumn? Was there changes in colors to oranges, reds or yellow?
@thewhvnomads74152 жыл бұрын
Not really, the transition is way too fast and the trees aren't the same as other countries like Canada, since they have to endure a much harsher winter.

When are you outside and your hair is freezing, does your nose and lips start hurting from the cold?
@thewhvnomads74152 жыл бұрын
With the right breathing technique, not really, it depends how long you stay out also. Keep your scarf on your mouth an nose, breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth to keep both warm!

amazing how big the city and population seems like over there despite having months of -40. How do people afford anything over there? Price must be stupid high for just about anything as I see no direct road to Yakutia for trucks unless they mostly come during the winter when the lake/rivers freezes over for them to drive over? Whats the job market/economy there like compared to rest of russia? Are there more high tech jobs where people can work remotely? I expect mechanics, plumbers, electricians to be busy there constantly fixing stuff tho
@thewhvnomads74152 жыл бұрын
The main resource of the region are diamonds, it's full of them. But living as a whole is pretty hard, in my bar I was paid less than 2 dollars an hour, and food isn't that affordable compared to that since most of it is somehow imported.
