not only did he not object to any of the hard and grueling work in the cold, but he was enthusiastic and looking forward to helping. he wants to help his family. he likes helping his family. these tasks aren’t ‘annoying chores’ to him like they would be other children, in other places. he is always joyfully participating in what needs to be done, it’s very admirable.

Good life? What's good about living in a place where there's nothing to aspire for, besides living everyday to just put food on the table. There's a big world out there and Ariam, as a child, shouldn't be doing hard labour to help his parents. Some might call it a cultural thing, I call it child slavery

Arian's father: "Every parent has to raise their children to be hardworking, honest and kind" Seeing Arian help his mum prepare meals, go fishing with papa, and chop wood to keep the house warm is heartening. Wish there were more kids like Arian and more parents like his in our world. Then maybe we wouldn't have so many of the societal problems that are deeply troubling us these days. What a beautiful family!

That's because even though Russia is a capitalist country this and some other regions there have a lot of autonomy and people kept their traditional ways. These people live unalienated lives, they're deeply immersed in their environment and in what they do. They can see and feel the result of their work, unlike most of us huge capitalist centre dwellers who only see fake richness (huge office towers, shopping malls, gigantic highway systems, consumerism, generic pop culture) they get real richness (a close knit community, family, tradition, culture, spirituality _not the same as religiousness_, good health, useful and great skills etc.)

They learn three languages, how to be handy, how to cook, how to fish and how to survive in hardcore environments. This is absolutely incredible. Such a beautiful culture with such hard working people. I saw someone else say seeing this life makes them yearn for something else, and I completely agree. There is something about seeing such a beautiful community and how wonderful the people are and how close the families are. It makes the life we have, the 98% of us being glued to our phones, seem lazy and unfulfilling.
@seia2758
@seia2758 10 күн бұрын
Because our ancestors have been living this way for thousands of years - hunting, foraging, socializing, building a community, raising children to be hardworking so the next generation will survive. Technology, industrialization and colonization destroyed everything "human" about us. We're no longer humans, we're more like robots doing mundane tasks over and over until we keel over and die. Meanwhile, these people live almost primitively with only a small community. For example, we as men, have this instinct to protect, to hunt, to forage and to conquer. It is in-built into our DNA. But we can't even "live off the land" nowadays due to slave labor. Now we have to work 9-11 hours at an establishment to put food on our table while these people can still eat for free by going outside and hunting fresh catches of food. That's the difference, because Yakutian people can still "live off the land" while we can't.

It may not happen in your lifetime, and certainly not in whatever is left of mine, but one day we will be back to that. Our high tech civilization is only possible because of concentrated deposits of finite resources of very high quality, and these are being exponentially (and unavoidably) depleted. This is not a criticism of the way our civilization has developed, only an observation that our way of life cannot endure longer than several generations. Nature is coming for us.

A part of me almost feels cheated out of the qualities these people are teaching their kids. I grew up lazy, I was never asked to do any chores, watched a lot of TV and just played outside with friends. This also meant I've grown into a fairly lazy adult, who can barely cook a meal without a microwave or airfryer. Arian however has already learned how to work hard, think of others and how to help his family, plus all the tools to be self sufficient. What a beautiful way of living and a beautiful family

Yeah well I was raised like Arian was, except we had -30C degrees instead of -50C. Still lazy as an adult. Although yes, I can cook and if I had to, I could still not just survive but thrive in ass cold with no indoors plumbing and living off salted pork, potatoes and canned autumn goods. You have to understand that this life isn't blissful. It's hard, backbreaking work. If you asked me if I wanted to go back to all of that, no, I don't. Because it was hard, it was cold, and you just coped with it. It had beauty in it, all that hard work and respecting nature, but you also had to respect nature when your sister died at 4 years old because she fell through the ice and froze to death.

But it’s only really hot for 4 to 5 months. The rest of the year it’s beautiful. Nov to Feb it gets cold in the mornings, as low as 30• F. Well cold for us, especially coming off 115• summer weather. But by noon we are usually in the 70’s F. I guess like anywhere you adapt and just get use to the climate you live in. The families are all so loving and the children so respectful and helpful. @@richards8872 So what? It's like you saying 'you're hungry, yet here you are, celebrating people who aren't hungry. Have you considered not being hungry?' A large part of the Western world has electronic communications as a part of their daily life. Why can't they admire people and societies who aren't glued to their phones at all times?

I believe it can be emotionally dismissive to say such things. It's essential for us to cultivate empathy and understanding, as they truly matter. Smartphones provide a wonderful avenue for accessing useful and essential information, not the other way around, like you've mentioned, but i respect your opinion.However, I found the video a bit misleading. I have great respect and compassion for the parents, but it was concerning how infrequently they seemed to check on their son. Simple expressions like "I love you" appeared to be missing, which is pretty unforgettably daunting to hear. Ultimately, only God knows the full story, and I sincerely hope that their son and the family is doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

This shows the value of constant work. It creates comfort for the whole year, not just instant gratification. Their lives are full of pleasures which we have lost. They have none of our stresses or illnesses, it would seem. Love ,light and joy is what they have in their daily lives while we have different values, mostly based on money. Thank you for showing us your culture and sharing your lifestyle with us. With love from Australia. 🇦🇺🙏🏼🙏🏼 🌺🐝🌻🦋

That boy Arian is learning how to live and survive in this harsh environment. He has wonderful parents who teach him very well. Meanwhile, our youth are playing their X boxes or PlayStations to pass the time. Who has the richest life, I ask. Me, I'd prefer to have a son with Arians attitude... who doesn't shy away from his daily chores, and lives an active life. It's also great that he's learning three languages in school... very different languages at that.

Wonderful compassionate documentary of this coldest village in Siberia, Yukatia, highlighting one family, for sharing the cultural influences that are needed as a community to survive these harsh conditions! A long winter: around 6 months. A short summer: barely 3 months. With spring and fall the other transitional seasons of about 3 months together. What is important for this lifestyle is how to respect, love and share with Nature to survive, be self-sustaining. Frozen and fresh food sources for protein are fish, meat and dairy. The balance of the rest of their diet is freezing and preserving what vegetable, herbs, fruit, berries, roots and other plant sources that are grown, gathered or bought, to last through the long, cold months. Equally important is harvesting the ice for drinking and cooking at the right time of year, as well as collecting or purchasing lake water for bathing, laundry and watering. There is a lot to learn about the importance of preserving this lifestyle. The world needs to help support the crafts, oral traditions, techniques for survival in this environment where both ancient and modern behaviors can be useful and shared for a more long, healthier,respectful, kinder, nurturing approach to all life and Nature! Beautiful documentary that should continue to be watched, reviewed, to learn from and share!! ☮️💟👍🥰♥️♥️♥️

That is for sure. But if parents did this in many parts of the USA,the parents would be charged with child abuse. God forbid you make your child have any responsibilities. That is one of the reasons this country is falling apart.

Thank you. This was very educational and enlightening. The way these people live, happy, loving and community, shows others that these things can be done, without all the killing and abusing. These people have shown that life could be so much better if we all cared for each other and looked after each other, but still stay as a separate family. The children are well taken care of and nurtured like they should be. They learn from adults, as we learned form our parents. It can be done.

Arian, you are such a cool dude man, you rock. I can see that the winter must be so challenging for your family but the spring and summer uncovers a rich, green countryside, it’s absolutely picturesque. Isolated settlements are always very closely bonded and the folks of Yakutia are no different, I think it is an awesome example for the rest of the world to see. I loved your vlog, it was full of rich content about your family, grandparents and village people, thank you for such a beautiful production, I have subscribed and nd will look out for more of your posts.
