You can do it Jill, keep it simple, you don't even need to paint the sheep. Happy holidays 😊

I get that this is a beginner tutorial and quite accessible to all and sundry but the result is very effective and charming with no sense of 'the beginner' about it. Many thanks!

Thank you for making such informative videos. Where I live there would not be foliage on the trees if there was enough snow to cover the ground. The trees would have bare branches.
@KarenRiceArt3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nancy, you could paint winter trees without foliage instead, to make it look more like where you live. Have fun 😊

I love your work and just joined your Patreon site. Is there anyway that your downloadable sketches could be in a smaller size? Possibly a 5x7? Thank you!
@KarenRiceArt3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Lucy... Once you download you can change the size from your device... just google your device name and change image size. When I download to my mac... I click on the download, then click on the menu above... click tools, then click image size... Hope this was helpful 😊

Karen thank you so much for your channel . I love the creative way u paint with the kitchen sink! Could u tell me, is it possible to paint water color on a canvas? Is there a wat we color canvas? Have u ever used absorbent ground and does it react like paper?
@KarenRiceArt3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Donna! I cannot resist using the kitchen sink!! Yes it is possible to paint on canvas. Check out this tutorial I created about using watercolour ground... which will allow you to paint on canvas: kzbin.info/www/bejne/in2lZpubrJ6CedU

Looks like entry of my home town only first you see is a lightup church top, how cliché, and the sheep suburbia in the dutch outback on german border did not change all that much. just no pleighwood piglet story on wolves blowing of the rooftop, then again, we do have the wolves,lol.
@KarenRiceArt3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow! Sounds amazing! Wolves too!!! ☺

I really enjoyed watching but I think I missed the painting of the snowy field, I saw the grasses go in and sheep shadows. The snow is so different than the white of the paper
@KarenRiceArt3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Julie... I painted the shadows about the 2 minute mark... This Saunders Waterford paper is quite creamy looking. You can get high white or use a whiter watercolour paper, so that there isn't such a contrast of colours between the white paint and paper 😊
