I have a ton of Roland analog synths, bunch of VST's, all kinds of modules. Yet the Montage is my favorite synth I own hands down. I keep learning new things and creating new dimensions of tones and sounds every day and it's been over a year of having it.

It's gonna take me years to tame this monstrosity of a synthesizer. Dom does what I Dream of being able to do on just one keyboard, but with my own music, he's so skilled at performing and creating sounds from scratch it's crazy. A little patience.... I'll get there, I hope...

@@EDcase1 Duh, yes, but thanks man. When you actually PLAY a Montage, (even as a synth guy)...for me, anyways - zero comparison. I lucked out and got a brand new Montage for $2700....so yes, that's a huge reason also! LOL But the extras available for live use are to me totally worth it and the keybed is inspiring to just play. I'm not saying this to you directly, but there are a LOT of MODX buyers that now rest in their satisfaction that they really bought a Montage and are VERY vocal about it. I get it - having purchased a PX5S years ago for all the same reasons. But the Montage is the flagship for a reason and again, glad I bought this versus the MODX and really don't mind lugging it around once a week either. :)

@@BaymondRell Yeah, I lucked out too, got mine for 1750$ with the stickers and screen protection on, the guy simply didn't get how to use it so it gathered dust in his home. I was about to buy the ModX too after all the tests, but quickly realized the extra knobs is a godsend as I just love to make adjustments on the fly instead of fiddling with the touchscreen. The keybead is MILES ahead of any synth I have, so smooth to the touch, and the programming posibillites enough to keep us busy for the next 10 years.

You can put an old synth keyboard (or a vanilla piano) in front of a top musician, and artwork will appear as music to your ears, and you can buy the worlds most expensive musical instrument to someone with no appreciation for it - and nothing will come out of it, except an empty pocket.
