Hi Jessie and your Mum, your girlie's can be fussy. it's soo good to be 😊 my cucumbers are doing well too, 2nd leaves are appearing 😊 your seedlings are looking really good. It has been very cold, I went to my plot last Wednesday and it was 10C, I got some much done that day, and then the very cold weather returned 🥶🥶 wow! 250 episodes, thats brilliant. How time flies. Lovely plot update. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊

Huge cheers to 250 vlogs Jessie, what an amazing achievement. Over the last (nearly) 5 years, you have introduced me to Chard (who knew it could be so pretty, so delicious, versatile and easy to grow) and my now favourite potatoes Red Duke of Yorks. Several new tomato varieties over the years have found their way into my must grow lists as well, perennial veg like 9 star broccoli and tree cabbage and Cavolo Nero. All now staples in my own veg garden. Thank you.

Wow, Kudos on your 250th video! I started watching your blog because my dog likes watching gardening shows and seems to enjoy watching yours the most. She perks up and pays attention to every word you say. Thanks for making a brilliant series, I like your unstaged approach and transparency with things you try and don't always turn out as expected. Very inspiring to watch when my own gardening doesn't go as well as I had hoped. Many thanks, N

Congrats on 250 episodes. Have loved your garden progression all these years. It is -17C here and we rarely get this cold. We are getting snow too in good old North Carolina. Ready for this polar vortex to be gone. I am ready for spring. My broad beans have survived thus far. Love watching the chicky hop,

We both know those girlies have access to the same internet we do. As soon as you head home they gather around their cell phone and look on the Harrods web site to see how much you did (or did not) spend on those great nesting boxes. If it's not on Harrods it will not be good enough! 🤣😂🤣 Those germinations look FANTASTIC!!! Woohoo!! I've got so many new birds in my garden this year. I am going to have to get identifying and recording to celebrate the weekend! Not as part of the RSPB survey, since I am in Florida... just for the fun of it!

there are fans for grow tents with flaps that move to change the breeze direction instead of having a swivelling head, they are free standing and square and take a lot less room than the tradition style desk fans.and more stable on a soft tent floor...swivelling fans will eventually seize up in the humid environment of a grow tent

Get some fake eggs or even golf balls put one in each nest box it will encourage them to use them, if a cat gets up a tree or whatever it can get itself down just open a tin of it's favourite food and place it at the base of the tree, our cat catches and kills mice voles rats and squirrels on a regular basis, he once brought home a live pole cat and let it loose in the kitchen then walked away leaving Jean and I to deal with this spitting ball of fluff and unbelievable anger and ferocity, eventually managed to shue it out the door

Oh dear, Jessie, your brain must have froze.😂. Here in Texas we finally got an inch of…snow. Last two days the YT forecaster though very entertaining was spitting out percentages of possible atmospheric moisture and it finally rang true. Yay. I’m not that enthused ‘cause Texas drivers being in the south are notoriously bad drivers. So garden pots frozen. Expecting another freeze tonight. By Wednesday we may have some pleasant weather above freezing. Waiting on seed order so still not sowing yet. It’s winter!🥶

In the sign writing industry they use a product called coreflute. It is a plastic version of sandwiched corrugated cardboard, really hard wearing and strong. I'm just wondering if it would be an option for you to use for the nesting boxes, being plastic it might be more user friendly when cleaning. If you ask them the sign writer might even cut your pieces to size for you. Cheaper option. This is the name of it in Australia but I assume there is a British counterpart. Worth investigating. 🥰😻😻🌱

If you do end up remaking the nest boxes, that small number of chickens really don't need so many nests. I would think two, or even one would be fine.
