Hi Tom ~ thank you for sharing this beautiful work, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas :)

Loved watching this being painted. It's sort of there but not. I watch various artists wet in wet methods and all are slightly different. However, yours is unique and I am amazed at how wet you have your paint.

I am truly amazed, my very pesty and annoying adult ADD mostly disappears when I sit to watch you work magic on your paper, and I thank you for sharing your work once again ❤️😊🎨

Thank you for this tutorial. It's very fenerous of you to give us a real time recording with so many little lessons residing in it. Definitely saving this to my 'important' art youtube playlist, I have a feeling it will be essential in starting my watercolor journey soon enough. Jumping in from gouache that I have already been using pretty watercolor-y.

I really like seeing stuff like changing the orientation to allow gravity to work in different directions. Interesting at the very beginning when you were just testing the washes, how the fairly middle blue appeared to warm up when you put some colder teal beside it.

Question…..you leave your brushes soaking in water in a bucket of water ?
@thomaswschallerАй бұрын
to soften them before painting - and to clean between washes - yes. - but for no more than a few minutes at a time

@ thank you for your reply ….absolutely beautiful watercolor painting…
@thomaswschallerАй бұрын
@@beanie5677 thanks! and it's true that you shouldn't leave the brushes in the water too long. But mine have lasted for many years so far
@beanie5677Ай бұрын
@@thomaswschaller , I appreciate your reply. I never leave my brushes soaking in water . Most of my brushes are in the delicate size category because I paint my own greeting cards. And my paintings are very detailed . Again , very thoughtful of you to reply . Your work is absolutely stunning.

You are a champion and I will be happy if you send a picture from which you drew it so that I can see the picture and I can study it, thank you very much

Thanks - But if you watched the video and listened to the lesson, you would see that the whole point of this lesson was that there was no photo. It was a lesson in drawing from dreams and from memories - not using photo references at all. - This is Part Twp - I explain all of this in Part One

Great video, thx for posting… Masking tape is a simple and effective alternative … for those of us who are not as accomplished with a brush … just sayin
