This turned out so awesome! I watched it with the wonderful singing and the snow coming down and it actually got me in the mood for doing Christmas stuff. I definitely know the too precious thing I have special paper stashed away in a tube that hasn't seen the light of day in years because it is too precious to be used for anything.

Beautiful job Lindsay! I am in the back and forth battle of buying a full (expensive) set of pan pastels myself. I am hoping that Santa hears my pleas and feeds my inner wanna be artist. I think these are wonderful products and I have seen many others make such beautiful artwork with them and can hardly wait to try them myself one of these days...hopefully...lol. cherryb1115 I say go for it and I'll tell you why: 1. It is cheaper per pan 2. you will not get doubles (1 bout 3 colors to try, liked them and bought the painting set of 20 and the Donna downey mixed media 2 set and had 6 doubles, I think I have 3 magentas LOL! When I finally get the full set-because it will still be cheaper than buying the other sets to fill mine in-I will have lots of doubles and a little goes a long way so it will be a while until I use the first ones up) 3. once you try them you will want them all LOL!

Hi Lindsay. I thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration. I watched both the full tutorial and the sped up version and loved both. I was lucky enough to win one of the Donna Downey mixed media sets a while ago and immediately ordered the second set after using them. My hubby got me a gift certificate last year to Blicks and I ordered the portrait set. They are just wonderful and so forgiving. Your painting is gorgeous! I have no paints, brushes, or canvas. I have painted one canvas with a group and will be doing another this Friday with another group. They supply the paints, canvas, and brushes for a fee. It is fun but I definitely can improve. Your video was great. You explained very well. I love how your painting turned out! I know this is an older video but it's teaching me, a newbie, a lot about pastel technique. Just noticed this was completed years ago, after watching so many pastel videos and continually learning....is working with Pan pastels different with the application of colors, with stick pastel, we were taught dark to light, it seems with Pan pastel people use the colors as needed versus having the pastel produce the pretty under painting? Hope this makes sense? Love watching your videos! Love to see some newer pastels tutorials... Hint hint 😁😁😁
