honestly, if you live in the US or Canada, going car camping (like front country camping) is an easy way to get into it. Basically park your car, and set up a tent near it. No lugging stuff around and generally have access to a washroom of some kind (pit, flushing, or something) and water. The camp site will probably even sell fire wood.

Hey Steve, I live in Wales, UK, and a friend emailed me about your channel last week and I've been addicted to your videos since. I've been trying to find the right words, because I'm not someone who has ever enjoyed camping, or been interested in it so I had to do some internal assessment as to why I'm absolutely addicted to your videos. When watching I find myself fascinated, yet also relaxed, taken away from the politics and anxiety that is found everywhere right now. There's so many elements I love, firstly the concept is cool, and the random and crazy places you setup in are fascinating. But, what really makes these videos, aside from the professional and excellent videography, is you. You're genuine, devoid of agenda and politics and this is so refreshing especially in these current times; Steve what you're doing is all round awesome, thank you.

I enjoyed you and Crazy Neighbor having relaxing evening. I would LOVE to see multi-day camping videos! I have to admit that I am not a camper, and I would love to know what you do when you aren't setting up, breaking down, cooking or sleeping. Thanks!

Activity-wise there's always fishing, hunting, trapping. Foraging, wood-gathering, organizing. There's almost always some little thing you could do to improve your comfort. But honestly, just doing absolutely nothing is kinda a big draw to this activity. Sitting, staring, poking a fire, talking about nothing. All depends what you're into.

Always makes my bed feel that much warmer watching your videos. I like the step 2 and the cooking parts.

Finally getting a chance to watch this video. I do believe that Steve and Crazy Neighbor have enjoyed quite a few Step 2’s!! A bit of struggle preparing dinner. Love these guys!

I still like watching your at home content! Nothing is better than camping on your own land!

Really enjoyed this video. It wasn’t flashy but it was as earnest and relaxing as all the others I’ve seen. Steve is the man

Crazy Neighbor eating with that scrap of cardboard! Hilarious! Reminds me of my own shenanigans with my friends. You both seem like some fun guys.

Honestly, if you and crazy neighbor did 399 videos of camping in the snow I may be thinking, "I sure hope the next one is a little different" and even if it wasn't, I would still watch. This was super fun, thanks!! -Rhonda

Steve you should get one of those thermoelectric fans that sit on top of a wood stove. With a minor modification, (grind out a slot in the base) it will slide right into and sit securely on top of the grate of your buddy heater. When that fans kicks on ... it's now blowing hot air. Game changer. Cheers !

Of course Steve has a utility knife to dice up the onion instead of a regular or pocket knife. hahaha I'll definitely give it something for being sharp.

I barely enjoy camping but I LOVE your videos :). It's your positivity, in situations most people would consider miserable (camping in the rain, or freezing temperatures), you're all smiles and like "doesn't get much better than this!". You're a glass half full kindof guy, it's inspiring. I'd love to have a step2 with you, thanks for the entertainment!

Well, I have always wanted to snowshoe since my stint in Vermont. As an aside, let me tell you how much I appreciate how structured all of your vids are content wise. I always know what to expect. A good intro, set-up, step two, dinner, kudos, wake up and wrap up. It’s well planned and not just a bunch of off the cuff stuff without direction, so thank you!

These vids are great examples of just how comfortable winter camping can be. I do notice, however, that Steve only seems to know one measurement when it comes down to adding ingredients: by the bagful. That cheese was just…huge. Nice work!

It was a good one; missed you for so many days/weeks! Squeaking snow and crackling fire counts for camping with Steve.

Bahaha “not as offensive as its price point would suggest”. I haven’t had the no name beer, but that sounds like as good a review as one would expect! All hail the Weston family.
