When you were using that winch last year we went and bought one. Best buy of the year! After losing so many trees in storms it has earned its keep for sure!

Hello Sandy. The first thing for folks, "Thumbs Up", no pain will be incurred. If you have more than one hatchet, perhaps there is a pocket on the side of the bag to store it in. That's a great tool to have on your property. Have good days!

That little winch sure is a handy piece of kit. I could have used it quite a few times in the past. Glad you survived the storms. Good vid. Thanks.

Howdy Sandy- I’ve seen the times l could have used something like that. Sure beats using a come a long! Stay safe and warm up there. We’re finally getting some winter temperatures and maybe some snow down here in the south. Take care and God bless

Sure feels like a cold one out there for tomorrow as well. think it's getting down to -18c over night (just below 0F) Sure is nice to get the ground stiffened up

Good morning Sandy that little winch sure does a good job. I always read some of the comment before putting mine, i say a few people mention you working bare hand when I was working in the woods in Quebec i hated working with glove or mittens they always got in the way some how, but one day i found a pair of glove that i love working with they are sold for butcher { called butcher glove } light stretchy no right or left hand they are wool and then easy to fit in a mitten or another pair of glove to drive the snow mobile or other outdoor equipment. At time i miss working in the snow put at 70 years old {almost } and with a bad back i wouldn't be able to handle it anymore so i will stay in Florida and do my little things around here witch is more than a lot of other people well enjoy your day have fun work with a smile it makes it like it not work
@sawingwithsandy4 күн бұрын
Saint Augustine is a beautiful area down in FL. I've visited down that way as well including Flagler beach area. I know what you mean about finding the right gloves. I find some days I work without gloves until my body cools down a bit and then I throw the gloves back on. I tend to do the same thing with my hat. Taking it off until I cool back down then I put it back on. I try to avoid sweating as much as I can that way.
@saintaugustine17153 күн бұрын
@@sawingwithsandy I know what you mean about the sweating i got the same problem i sweat easily then when i stop i am cold a lots of time. Even when it was in the low minus cel. degrees i hand up working in my T shirt have a great day

Sandy, I had to turn the heat on out here in the shop, just watching you work... bare handed... in the snow. The cold used to not bother me, but I'm paying the price now. I think I should find some place to enjoy the winter... maybe Argentina?! At least when I was back at the ranch in Arkansas a month ago, I could put the heater in the excavator to good use!! Stay safe... and stay warm!
@sawingwithsandy4 күн бұрын
Hey Carl! If you find a good spot in Argentina be sure to let me have a little vacation in the warmth from time to time haha

That little winch has it's work cut out for it, with all of the tree tops that you will have to deal with. I was really impressed with how easy it started, especially after sitting in the snow for so long.
@sawingwithsandy4 күн бұрын
I've found that it's a nice light pull. Nothing turns me away from something more than an engine that won't start (my brain instantly goes back to that old wood splitter I had hah)
@earlzathome5 күн бұрын
Thats a cool little winch! I like the fact that you you don't need a vehicle, you can just wander through the bush bringing all the trees onto the trail... very cool.
@sawingwithsandy4 күн бұрын
I find it's real handy in those spots for sure. Nice to not need to haul too much in the way of heavy gear. My body keeps telling me I'm not getting any younger so as that happens I'm always looking for lighter equipment

I am a bit envious of your ability to work in the snow with bear hands. Mine would be freezing and in pain. Been that way all my life. And I’ve worked in cold weather as a carpenter. No choice. Like you, worked when it was needing done. 😊

I find I only prefer to take the gloves off to help cool me down just so I don't start sweating. Once I get cooled down enough I get the gloves back on. Today was quite warm so I was sweating from other chores and wanted to be sure I didn't get too sweaty to the point I got cold

Sandy, I bought the winch PCW4000, just before Christmas have not tried it out yet but I will be sure to watch your future videos on how to use it. Stay safe and stay warm.

You'll really like it! I found that straight out of the box I just added the engine oil and it fired up after only a few pulls. Been working great ever since

I've got the battery operated PW for portable sawmill jobs. I was shocked at how powerful it is. My only complaint is neither of the two 2.5ah batteries take a full charge and it's not that old and hasn't been worked hard. But it still does the job and does it better than expected.
@sawingwithsandy4 күн бұрын
That sounds like a good setup with the batteries. I haven't seen that unit before but sounds like it would have some great applications

We are getting a lot of lake effect this weekend and I expect a bunch of trees down up at camp. Nice system! Jeff
@sawingwithsandy4 күн бұрын
Hey Jeff! I heard on my news about some lake effect snow coming off of Lake Erie and Ontario down your way. Hope not too much get's damaged but just enough if you're needing a few trees for the chopp block.

Handy device in a tight squeeze. Would be a useful tool on a sailboat winching up the sails or pulling a cow or large animal out of a bind. Have a very happy New Year winching things.

@joeymcclure94634 күн бұрын
I do believe it is a very handy tool. It does work very well if you have the time. Before you comment things like that, you should stop and think that not everybody can afford a tractor and a winch. I do believe that sandy is showing alternative ways of doing things and that's fine by me.
@garryedwards17634 күн бұрын
He has a tractor so use it
@quarlow12154 күн бұрын
Yes he has a tractor but it's hard to show products you are testing if you don't use them. It would have been easy to just do it with the tractor but then people that don't have a tractor wouldn't see this winch.
