I don't think people realize just how huge that door is, so it taking a minute to open is really nothing! I think part of the slow speed is the safety systems installed in it - the ones that prevent it from dropping like a stone if the pump quits (which is a very good thing to have). For a cold storage shed, I think the whole thing is awesome.

If it was really and issue they could just add a heater for the oil tank. Or maybe swap it for better oil that doesn’t get as thick in the cold.

Helping your algorithms and asking a question. Does your old Chevy truck have a Rochester Quadra jet? Is that why it’s hard to start? Maybe you already commented on that I have never missed a video since I found you a couple years ago.

With people commenting on the door being slow, I think they are forgetting one huge thing.. it's not a 200 pound door on your garage, it is a massive shed door. The slower speed is a safety factor, allowing the door to gradually flex as it shifts from verticle to horizontal.

Zach, is there a P.O. Box to send fan mail to Onyx and the girls? I want them to know how proud I am of them for their skills andhardworking. I'm in lower Michigan and I was raised on an 105 acre farm too. We planted corn and soybeans. Today's tractors or so advanced compared to what we had to drive. I'm 58 years old now and my father is 84. He worked a full time job at Ford Motor company in Rawsonville, Michigan and him and my uncle farmed too. Now its leased out just to cover Dads property taxes every year. We just sold the grain truck for scrap 2 years ago to get it out of the barn. It was an antique 3 in the tree truck. Oh the memories I have still.

That big door, simply amazes me! My first snowmobile ride was on a Polaris Colt, in Marcel, MN in 1964 or ‘65. At the time it was the first stock sled to do 60 mph. It out the fear of God in me when I slid round a corner on a back road and hit the snow bank and the sled tilted about 25-30 deg. and my head was only a few feet from a barb-wire fence! Scary. Ride safe.

Hi Zach and Becky, and the rest of the MF clan. My late father in law who died in 2000 was born and raised in Felton MN. He had a 200 acre farm just south of Morris at 250th and 59. You could see the Denco ethanol plant from his living room. He raised 40 head of Black Angus cattle at a time. Prior to farming he was the longtime shop teacher at Morris High School. For many years he did both. I'm pretty sure he would have loved your channel. Congratulations on your success.

When I used to work in a hangar in Alaska we had doors similar to that. To cool thing about those one we’re the bottoms would slide up about about 2-3 feet then the door would raise. The snow and ice would prevent them from opening. Keep it clean in front of the doors or the ice will lock it down.

KEEP THE EXTRA HEADER. Back ups are good, and for minimal storage space too.

The companies that make these doors have even more elaborate ones. Have seen with a porch. Etc. Just a matter of how much you want and wanna spend.

Whenever I increase the battery charger to full boost on our Kenworths it fries the ecu computer and cost close to $3000 to replace it. It only took me a couple times of doing that to figure that out. I hope you have better luck than I have when switching to boost.

New shed is looking good!! One thing you might to do is spray foam the inside. Sure the building will not heated but it helps to keep the cold and wind out!!

Good idea. I would put some low level reinforced concrete panels round the inside bottom as well. Always a good way of steering a poorly guided wheel away from an expensive thin steel wall sheet.

I don't know why, but I was scared when you backed that truck into the building next to the new corn head. Happy Holiday.
