Strongly suggest you look at / try out the polystyrene cutters that look like a soldering iron with a wire tip ( various lengths availability) they are fairly cheap, and no more little white balls all over the place ! Also makes cutting out tunnels etc easy.

I saw those! I an rather making life hard for myself and wearing out the vacuum cleaner quickly! Maybe get one ready for the next project sometime....
