@@matthewwhitton5720 1. They are using sounds off Medal of Honor Allied Assault. A video game made in 2002. 2. The explosions from that 8cm mortar DONT look like an 8cm mortar or even a 6cm mortar. I’m a Mortarman in the USMC, I would know what an 80mm/60mm explosion would look like. 3. They stop a convoy in the middle of an open field and use canvas skin trucks for cover? Get over yourself.

Tienes toda la razón. Los alemanes en este episodio, si estuviera en una situación real, habrían matado a la mayoría, si no a toda la columna. Los yanquis, sin embargo, no se mostrarán ignorantes como lo fueron en 1944 en Europa. Su nivel es el ejército italiano, y eso no es 1939-1941. y 1943-1944 Los yanquis suelen mostrar a los alemanes en las películas como tontos. Al parecer, los alemanes los tenían bastante bien en 1944-194. Si no fuera por el frente soviético-alemán, que desvió todas las fuerzas y medios de los alemanes, entonces los yaki y tommy todavía recogerían sus cadáveres del Canal de la Mancha y el Golfo de Vizcaya.

Si el ejército soviético hubiera detenido la ofensiva en la frontera alemana, todos se habrían resistido, y el traslado de 3-4 millones de alemanes a Occidente habría puesto a los británicos y estadounidenses al borde del desastre. La experiencia de 6 años de guerra no se puede gastar en bebida.

Never heard of the free french under the Gaulle? French troops fought in western europe in the 1944-1945 campaign, with American equipment.

That's incorrect. There were the Free French Forces still fighting after the Fall of France in 1940 and French Resistance Fighters in the D-Day invasion. These forces were more effective than often given credit for, for example: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bir_Hakeim In North Africa they were still using mixes of French and British equipment, but by the time of D-Day they needed to be issued more up to date American equipment. You can find pictures of the colonial troops wearing American style uniforms.

@@nigden1 Well. They simply didn't adapt very much after they won the first world war. The 1940 campaign was fought with old doctines, incapable leaders on political and military level and for some part, outdated equipment. The Germans on the other hand, had a brand new army, with very capable military leaders and excellent planes and armor. In that light, it is hardly surprising that they lost the campaign in 1940.

@@Sigismund74 That is absolutely correct. Worst of all, perhaps, was that the French were relatively poorly led, politically and, perhaps more especially, militarily. This was even despite their initial Commander-In-Chief being considered quite smart and intelligent, even among some fair share of the Germans, at the time. That said leading Frenchman, though, proved to be quite inflexible, apparently rather stubborn, stubbornly optimistic and overconfident, and basically not particularly modern in overall style, tactics, broad strategy, and overall operations.
