Winter Wonderland at Margaret Lake - Washington State

Brings back wonderful memories of winters at my family's cabin north of Salmon la Sac. The stillness. The quietness. Being tucked inside under a big, thick blanket of snow.

This is a beautiful yet wow, how challenging it is to pave your own trail through the snow to the gorgeous ice covered Lake Margaret. I loved the artistic nature of your beautiful shots. The shot of your feet crunching through the snow, the shots looking up at the old growth evergreen trees covered in snow. It was a magical journey. I have been on those kind of hikes, and I was excited for you and nervous, for I get a little nervous when I am so back country in the snow. It was lovely views though friend, and I delightedly enjoyed all 5 min with you on your journey! You are an amazing videographer, and wow, I would love to be friends with you and soak in your talent and learn from you. I was curious if you were using a 360 camera, but doubted it, but then your shot at the end was like, oh yeah, it is a 360 camera. So which one are you using? Thank you for the wonderful share. I really really enjoyed it!

Thank you! Whether snowshoes are worth taking depends on the conditions. If there’s significant snow and it’s not well-packed, they can be a huge help. It’s always a good idea to check the latest trail reports before heading out!
